Honey went home today after 3 weeks. She is always such a pleasure to look after. She started life being tied to a tree with no food or drink ... I love happy endings and it never ceases to amaze me how they trust in humans despite being treated poorly and discarded like rubbish in the beginning 💔❤️

It's the hardest part of being a pet parent... remember they've been there for a good part of your life. YOU were the WHOLE of their life. No matter how hard ... please be there for them when their time has come, no matter how difficult or heartbreaking 💔 😢

"It turns out that pets also have last wills before they die, but only known to vets who put old and sick animals to sleep." Twitter user Jesse Dietrich asked a vet what the hardest part of his job was.
The specialist replied without hesitation that the hardest thing for him was seeing how old or sick animals look for their owners before they fall asleep. The fact is 90% of owners don't want to be in a room with a dying animal. People leave so they don't see their animals leave. But they don't realize it's in these last moments of life that their animal needs them the most.
Vets are asking owners to stay close to animals until the end. "It is inevitable that they die before you. Remember that you were the center of their lives. Maybe they were just a part of you. But they are also your family. Even if it's hard, don't give up on them.
Don't let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they don't like. It's very painful for vets to see how pets can't find their owner in the last minutes of their lives. They don't understand why their master left them. After all, they needed the consolation of their master.
Veterinarians do their best to make animals not so scared, but they are totally strangers to them. Don't be a coward because it's too painful for you. Think about the animal. Endure that pain for them. Be with them until the end.

Beautiful Majestic Duke is literally dying spiritually in lefkara shelter

He's becoming a shadow of his self
Utterly depressed, poor appetite , losing weight weekly 😢
He is completely miserable trapped in a tiny space in a tiny shelter , endured 14 months of this !! He's becoming a hollowed out version of himself ! lost his mojo , no enthusiasm , he doesn't want to interact with people or dogs . He used to love to play , he barely lifts his head to acknowledge anyone these days , like he's excepted his fate or spending the rest of his days there

He's good with other dogs , normally loves people , we need someone to step forward and at least foster him to help him escape this prison that's making him so physically and spiritually unwell

An offer of adoption would be tremendous , sadly they have been few and far between due to no fault of his
Big dogs always struggle to find forever homes eventhough , normally he's a happy, playful , kind , affectionate big boy , no one has ever really quite appreciated him

Please someone offer him an alternative to his miserable existence

He needs a large open space, secure , long interesting walks , he loves to explore and get out , being couped up makes him so so sad 😞
No cats or young children , people in his life who see he's worth more than a dusty corner in a village shelter

Please share his post 🙏 , please PM Nahide Emin-falk if you can help him in ANY WAY ! We are willing to consider a number of options for him
A UK adoption would be the best
But for now we need to get him out of there !!!!!
