Yo soy Tiri (Tiramisu)
Introducing Tiri, short for Tiramasu. He’s my friends daughters new 12 week old puppy who has spent some time with us this week, while she is away at school and her dad at work. He’ll be excited to see her today. He’s super smart, makes no noise, a trooper at walks including campo terrain. What a legend already. Vexy, as usual, isn’t great with puppies. He was the first couple days but I think he’s worried Tiri has moved in rather than being a neighbour.
This morning, one of our regular and much loved friends Pastel (Spanish for Cake) joined Vexy and I for a tostada and cafe con leche.
We walked into Nigüelas via the Acequias cliffs.
Stopped at my fave breakfast bar (Café Bar El Molino). The dogs shared a tostado con atún, I had a great coffee.
Then we walked down the centre of Nigüelas, past Miguel’s and the Gardens taking the first left down what was, a campo (farm/dirt) road, but is now fully sealed.
Without any doubt, my morning walks or hikes are the highlight of mine and Vexy’s every day.
Because I’m not officially doing any dog rescue or fostering work, I haven’t been keeping this page alive siCasa Morayma, Lecrin Valley, Granada leaving Cyprus.
But, I am going to resurrect it to collect all my doggy adventures, in one story. Dogs really are my passion and, a big part of my daily life.
I have my boy Vexy, and there’s many other local (Lecrín Valley, Granada, Andalucía, Spain) dogs I cherish having in my life.
There are many that know where we live in the village and visit us, some regularly, most as soon as they’re out of their fincas (farms).
Sometimes we have a posse joining Vexy and I on our hikes and walks. We all love that, the doggies all hang out together and will feel like “Lee Asher, of the Asher House” although my posse is much smaller and comprises of random dogs, owned by others 😉
Lately after returning from our morning walk, I’m taking my coffee on my roof terrace. I do as much as possible on my roof terrace now.
I digress but, I suspect my Vitamin D levels suffer for 3 months of the year, notably during Summer when I get … next to no sun. i need to look into that.
The roof terraces of Casa Morayma (Guesthouse) and Casa Zoraya (my house) are the best spots in this house on a sunny but cold day. The winter sun is glorious! ☀️
This morning while making my coffee, I hear Vexy crying at the roof door terrace door. 3 floors up. Yes ✅, that’s 3 floors up 😩. On the upside, I am also the fittest I’ve been since a child.
Both houses, 3 floors up to the roof terraces. I do need a bridge that allows crossing between Morayma (Guesthouse) and Zoraya (my house) roof terraces. One day 😉
Anyway, I open the door. We walk out.
Today, the sun is lurking through the clouds as they roll into the valley. Rain is forecast this week. It’s 2 degrees but, no wind💨 and doesn’t feel too cold at all.
