cut perpendicular on mechanical axis
cut as dorsal as possible
do not drill diafysis too much, better not at all
after temp. fixation, bend your kwires and compress cut with cerklage wire
TPA around 0dg postop
locking implants

Contouring, contouring, con…. Do not trust anybody, it is important in locking plates too. One dog, first op right leg- no contouring, iatrogenic lateral open wedge! Looks like a plan, to correct tibial valgus, but is not. It is my mistake. Btw, healed pp, no clinical problems. Second- left, op today, contoured and … looks much better for me! So do not by lazy and use bending irons all the time guys😉 Pre op planning like vpoppro helps determine, where is your point to bend.
