ADOPTION PROCESS:
Announcing the Cool Critters adoption procedure! Due to the high volume of adoption requests we receive, we have decided to implement a new adoption procedure to help us find the perfect fit for each and every animal. If y

ou see an animal you are interested in adopting, or would like to be considered for adoption in general, you will need to fill out our adoption application. We will review these applications and choose candidates we feel are best suited to match with the personalities and needs of the animals available for adoption. These candidates will then be invited for a round of meet and greets, after which the final decision on adoption will be made. Being first to fill out an application will not guarantee you will be chosen. You will be considered again when another pup or kitty that seems to be a potential match comes through our doors. Very often there are cries of help for a number of cats to be placed very quickly because of an owners death or they have to leave their accommodation to go into care. All shelters here are really lucky that they have a forum on Kočičí přání to ask for this help 🙏

Last week there were two situations where a large number of cats had to find places. Fifteen from one place and ten from another. The fifteen were solved quite quickly but no one had space for the ten so we jumped in to help. Martina and Jaq made a room free, plus the quarantine room and in the end we took eleven cats into our care. There were twelve but one couldn't be caught on the day. Nine of them are Ginger! 🐱🐱🐱

Yesterday they all had Nexgard Combo, as they all have fleas. One boy was taken to the vet as he really isn't well. Bad eyes and running nose. Four of the other cats have bad eyes and will be all visiting the vet tomorrow. They will all be checked by the end of the week.

As you can imagine, it's a little crazy here and we are hoping to get some of them to foster care very soon 🙏

Fostering helps a rescued cat become more adoptable. Fostering is very rewarding, knowing you had a special part in finding a loving cat a wonderful new home. 🐾💜

Nate is a gorgeous and big 5.9 kg boy.😻 Like an Arabian Mau Nate is very chatty, will demand attention and cuddles and has a large playful character. He absolutely adores human company and is looking for lots of attention. Nate is a true lap cat and good with other cats.

Nate is in Prague in foster care and can be visited there.

Panda is a big boy with a big personality.😻 This tuxedo lap cat loves humans and will hold a conversation with you. Like an Arabian Mau Panda is very chatty, will demand attention and cuddles and has a large playful character. Panda is great with children, but wants be the only cat at home.

Today the Cat Wish Kočičí přání ends and we are very happy that every one of our cats received a gift 😍

EMIN & KAHLO are looking for their forever home!!🏠

Meet Emin (black) and Kahlo (tortoiseshell), both female siblings, 6 months old, they are microchipped, vaccinated, castrated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Their fosters are saying, that Emin and Kahlo the best cats anybody could hope for.😻 They are both pretty calm but also playful cats. They are clean and hardly make a mess.

Emin is incredibly cuddly and wants to be around people all the time. Khalo is also cuddly and more playful, but she’s more careful and shy with new people, but she loves being held. They both come to your bed and shove their little heads against you for breakfast. Emin and Kahlo are simply the sweetest kittens.😻 They could also go home separately.

They are right now in Prague in foster care and can be visited there.

Two wonderful dogs 🐶 and three amazing cats 🐱 are looking for a flight buddy from Doha (Qatar) to Prague. Flight date: from the 20th of January onwards.

What is required from you:
A direct flight from Doha to Prague with Qatar Airways. We need your passport and flight details in advance, meet their rescuer Valerie at Doha airport on the day of departure, all paperwork and the check-in of the animals will be provided by Valerie, at Prague airport you will need to pick up the animals at the oversized luggage area and take them out of the airport through the customs. Outside the airport a volunteer of ours will collect the animals from you.

When a couple from Skramouš asked us for help again, we were happy to agree. It seems that Aki and her husband really attract cats. Probably because they feed them delicious fresh meat 😋 Every year that our shelter has been open, they bring to us a mother cat and her kittens. The mother is spayed and released back, and we find homes for the baby cats. This year, however, it turned out differently. Hepworth is sweet and cuddly, so we decided to find her a new home too.

Today Hepworth went to her foster home with Jen in Prague. We believe Hepworth will do beautifully in a single person home, although she also gets along with other kitties. She likes the quiet life 🙂

Hepworth is still missing a Christmas gift on Kočičí přání and some coins in her food bowl 😔

Gorgonzola and Mozzarella arrived to Cool Critters when they were about 10 weeks old with their mother Sakura. Normally kittens get adopted quickly and the momma's are left waiting for a home. Sakura went home after being here for three weeks, Mozzarella and Gorgonzola have been waiting nearly 5 months 😢 We just don't understand why they haven't found a home 😢 They are the most adorable pair.
Many kittens have arrived and gone in the time they have been here and it's heartbreaking watching them grow up when other kittens have found their forever home.
