Wrapping Up 2024
As the year comes to an end, it’s time to pause and reflect. 2024 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster—a year of growth, challenges, and unforgettable moments.
Starting the year with a new job brought big changes: going from 16 to 32 hours of work while writing my MA thesis and running Charmingtags. It wasn’t easy, and Charmingtags had to take a short pause, but in October, I proudly received my MA in Egyptology—a moment I’ll forever cherish.
At home, our beloved petzoo brought so much love and joy. Ichi overcame his eye problems, and the rest of the gang is thriving. Life here is never dull, and the house is always filled with love (and a little chaos).
In March, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Egypt with my parents, mother-in-law, and friend. Experiencing the beauty and history of Egypt together was truly unforgettable—a journey filled with memories I’ll treasure forever.
But not everything was easy. My grandmother was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer’s—a diagnosis we had feared. After a fall and moments where we thought we might lose her, she continues to fight with resilience. Every visit is different, but we treasure the time we have left with her. Her cat Bailey is now thriving with my parents, bringing us all some comfort.
Charmingtags returned stronger than ever with fresh collections and exciting plans for 2025. A heartfelt thanks to my incredible team for their dedication and creativity—you made this comeback possible.
To Erwin: thank you for being my rock this year. I can’t express how much your love and support mean to me. After 9 years together, I’m reminded every day why I’m so grateful for you.
As we step into 2025, I wish for health, happiness, and love for all of us in 2025. Wishing you all a wonderful New Year’s Eve 🎆. We’ll be a little quiet tonight & tomorrow as we comfort Koji through the fireworks. Sending love and strength to everyone and their pets during this time.
