There was also reason to celebrate in the jumping arena: Hof Kasselmann‘s Costa Gavras (Contadoro x Quidam de Revel) and Armin Schäfer went double clear to secure a fantastic fourth place in the highly coveted CSI3* Grand Prix on Sunday.

Results from the CHI Donaueschingen:

Yara Reichert and Force Majeure (Fürstenball x Sir Donnerhall, P.S.I. 2021) continue their successul partnership by placing in the final qualifier to the NÜRNBERGER BURG-POKAL final.

Josephine Burger and Vom Feinsten (Vivaldi x Sandro Hit, P.S.I. 2018) showed in the CDI1* tour.

Both Force Majeure (Fürst Bayram) and Vom Feinsten were bred by Gestüt Lewitz.

Recap from the 2024 German Youth Championships in Riesenbeck:

The silver medal 🥈in the Junior Championship went to Maria Teresa Pohl and Diaton (Dimaggio x Benetton Dream, P.S.I. 2020) for three fantastic performances. Congratulations!

Lena Merkt and the Hanoverian stallion Sarotti Mocca-Sahne (Soliman de Hus x Lauries Crusador) finished the Young Rider Championship in fourth place overall. Well done!

Ants Bredemeier and Download (Don Frederico x Sunny Boy, P.S.I. 2011) place well in the short Grand Prix, Grand Prix and Freestyle. Sarah Wilke and Brooklyn Rave (Bordeaux x Don Primero, bred by Lewitz Stud) collect a fourth in the S*.

Updated: Junior rider Maria Teresa Pohl and Diaton (Dimaggio x Benetton Dream, P.S.I. 2020) finished second in both the first round and the second round of the German Youth Championships at Riesenbeck. The pair showed two beautiful tests for scores of 72.784 and 72.368 percent.

Postscript from the Longines FEI WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo:

P.S.I. graduate Global Power OLD (breeder: Gestüt Lewitz, owner: family Bergmann and Hof Kasselmann) danced his way to silver 🥈 with Evelyn Eger in the final qualifier for seven-year-olds. The pair received over 81 percent. In the final the Grey Flanell x Don Frederic gelding finished in twelfth place in a highly competitive field. His uphill canter, powerful extended trot and secure changes impressed many onlookers and show he's well on the way to the top sport.

Evelyn Eger: "We had some fantastic days at Ermelo. Global has proven that he belongs on the world stage. Thank you to the team and the owners for standing behind us."

Isabelle Bergmann: "We look forward to the future with this horse."

Special mention also to our rider Lydia Jordan (SWE) who rode Shakeela to eighth place in the final for six year old horses.

to the Paralympic Games of . It was a record medal haul for Team USA 🇺🇸 not least due to the fantastic performances of our students and friends Fiona Howard, Kate Shoemaker and their team mates Roxanne Trunnell and Rebecca Hart.

Fiona leaves her first ever Paralympic Games as a triple gold medalist 🥇🥇🥇Riding Hof Kasselmann and Dressage Family LLC’s Hanoverian stallion Diamond Dunes, she first topped the Grade II individual and team tests and then scored a personal best 81.99 percent in the freestyle. Fiona said: “When I came into these Games, I just wanted to put down the best tests I could. This has gone above my expectations. I have such a great partner in Diamond Dunes and he knows his job. He gave me everything.” A feat made even more remarkable by the fact that Fiona has only been riding 'Dunes' since March. The ride was suggested by Francois Kasselmann and trainer Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer and it turned out to be a perfect match. 🐴❤️

After the U.S. team won its first ever team gold, Fiona, Rebecca and Kate also earned medals in Saturday’s freestyle competition. It was Kate's first individual Paralympic medal. “I could not keep the smile off my face,” Kate Shoemaker said of her Grade IV bronze medal freestyle performance on Hanoverian mare Vianne.

🔝 trainer: Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer was twice awarded the 'Order of Ikkos', which is presented by Team USA medal-winning athletes to a coach, mentor or other individual who has been instrumental in their success. It is an opportunity for athletes to thank the people who have supported their journey to the .

🇩🇪 Ehre, wem Ehre gebührt: Die Osnabrücker Olympioniken Frieda Bühner, Fabian Dammermann, Leonie Meyer, Frederic Wandres, Pia Greiten und Frauke Hundeling sowie die Mannschaftsärzte Dr. Casper Grim und Prof. Dr. Martin Engelhardt durften sich am Freitag unter den Augen von Oberbürgermeisterin Katharina Pötter in das Goldene Buch der Stadt eintragen.

🇬🇧 Honour to whom honour is due: Osnabrück Olympians Frieda Bühner, Fabian Dammermann, Leonie Meyer, Frederic Wandres, Pia Greiten and Frauke Hundeling as well as the team doctors Dr Casper Grim and Prof. Dr Martin Engelhardt were able to sign the city's Golden Book on Friday under the watchful eye of Lord Mayor Katharina Pötter.

🥈 in the Bundeschampionat for six-year-old dressage horses! Lars Ligus and the Vitalis x Fürst Heinrich son V***e Clicquot (bred by Josef Bramlage) finished second in the final with a score of 8.62 after showing a fluid test. The pair received a judge's verdict that Ligus could have framed: ‘That was a showcase for good riding. 👌🏻 V***e Cliquot was one of the highlights of the 2022 P.S.I. Auction and sold to Terry Lan (TPE).

All eyes on the final today!! 👀
It was a neck-to-neck decision in Friday's qualification for seven-year-old horses at the Longines FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses: By only 0.07%, Life Time FRH and Charlott-Maria Schürmann demoted Global Power OLD (P.S.I. 2021) and Evelyn Eger into second place. 81,099 percent with a 9.5 for trot and 10 for canter was the score for the impressive Grey Flanell x Don Frederic gelding.

Team work 🫶 Congratulations to Evelyn, the Bergmann family as co-owners, breeder Gestüt Lewitz (Deckstation Schockemöhle), trainer Hartmut Lammers and groom Iozef Opera. We wish you a fantastic final today!! 🤞🍀

Sina Eilers campaigned Angie Quin's Zuccador QD (Zenon x Lauries Crusador xx, P.S.I. 2023) and Hof Kasselmann's Saint Lavinia OLD (Vitalis x Sandro Hit) in the Bundeschampionate qualifier for five-year-old horses in Warendorf.

Zuccador QD picked up a very creditable ninth place yesterday and seventh place in today's small final. The judges awarded top marks for the walk and overall impression. Saint Lavinia OLD only just missed out on the placings in a huge field, despite scoring 8.2 for the walk.

Fiona Howard (USA) maintained the United States’ stunning start to the opening day of the Para Dressage Individual Medal Events at Château de Versailles as she took Grade II gold 🏅 on Diamond Dunes in her debut Paralympic Games.

“We haven’t been a partnership for that long – only since March when we did our first competition,” Fiona said of Diamond Dunes. “I just trusted him and he gave me everything in there. I am so proud of him. He’s never let me down.”

Congratulations from Hof Kasselmann! We are so proud that Diamond Dunes proved to be the perfect match! Likewise, Fiona has been successfully training with Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer both at home and in Paris. Nicole is of course on site to support her students Fiona and Kate.
