Have a Heart Namibia - Spay and Neuter Project

Have a Heart Namibia - Spay and Neuter Project Have-a-Heart Namibia, saving lives through sterilisation and medical care! THANK YOU!

This is the official page of the 'Have-a-Heart Namibia' project - a much needed project that allows us to provide free spay and neuter services to dogs and cats of low and no income families across Namibia, also in areas currently without veterinary services. Have-a-Heart is a registered non-profit organisation in Namibia (21/2014/0378) which aims to reduce stray animal populations in a sustainabl

e and humane way, thus eliminating the need for mass euthanasia. Since starting in 2013, Have-a-Heart has grown to having teams working in several towns across Namibia and has collectively sterilised over 22,800 animals (October 2024). The project is run by volunteers and fully dependent on donations - every cent of your donation is used for the welfare of Namibia's dogs and cats. The Nineteenth Hole Clubhouse Restaurant at Omeya Golf Course has sponsored a feral cat colony in Walvis Bay, naming it the Nineteenth Hole Colony for the next year.

This support, secured during the 4th Annual Christmas Cup Charity Golf Day, sponsored by King Price Insurance Namibia this year, significantly benefits the cats and is greatly appreciated by Have a Heart Namibia. Thanks to their support, The Nineteenth Hole Colony will be well cared for in the months ahead.

Regular updates will follow as the colony is cared for throughout the year.

Our Story

This is the official page of Have-a-Heart Namibia - a much needed project which provides free spay and neuter services for dogs and cats of low and no income families across Namibia in municipal townships and informal settlements, in some areas currently without any veterinary services whatsoever.

Have-a-Heart is a registered non-profit organisation in Namibia (21/2014/0378) which aims to reduce stray animal populations in a sustainable and humane way, thus eliminating the need for mass euthanasia.

Have a Heart is solely relying on donations and run by volunteers. All donations received are used for spay, neuter and necessary medication. Our volunteers go out of their way to improve the lives of animals in townships and informal settlements by providing advice and physical help to pet owners who would otherwise have no access to such information or service.
