Da wir auch weiterhin viele Anfragen nach Kitten bekommen, möchten wir hier noch einmal darauf hinweisen, dass wir bereits vor einiger Zeit mit schwerem Herzen und in tiefer Trauer beschlossen, unsere Zucht einzustellen.
Was ist geschehen?
Helena, eines unserer geliebten Kitten und dazu ein äußerst anhängliches kleines Mädchen, musste im März 2022 durch die unvorstellbare, pathologisch belegte und dokumentierte schwere Vernachlässigung einer Hamburger Selkirk Rex und Hundezüchterin ihr Leben lassen. Das liebenswerte kleine Kätzchen durfte nur sechs Monate alt werden.
Wir möchten bei dieser Gelegenheit unbedingt darauf hinweisen, dass es sich hierbei NICHT um die Hamburger Selkirk Rex Zucht "Cirratus-Cats" handelt. Deren Züchterin Christina Krupke kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen ! ! !

Nach diesem schrecklichen unverzeihlichen Vorfall bringen wir es nicht übers Herz, jemals wieder ein solch unschuldiges Kitten in andere Hände abzugeben, egal wie gut wir diese zu kennen glauben und wie freundlich und verantwortungsvoll diese sich zu repräsentieren wissen. Wir bitten um Verständnis.

Wir geben jedoch gerne Auskunft über ehrliche und gewissenhafte Selkirk Rex Züchter mit einem gesunden Katzenbestand!

Diese Bilder zeigen die kleine Helena im Alter von fünf Wochen und am Tag der Übergabe an die Züchterin im Alter von fünf Monaten.
Als ich sie nach nur vier Wochen das erste Mal wieder sah, hatte Helena in dieser kurzen Zeit ⅓ ihres gesammten Körpergewichts verloren ohne ihr jegliche tierärztliche Hilfe zukommen zu lassen und lag daher bereits im Sterben 🙏
Helenas Asche ruht nun bei uns...

😽 The E-litter of Cashmere Curls just celebrated their third birthday. Here are a couple more pictures we just received of Elsie and Einstein. Meike wrote they are so very affectionate and follow her everywhere. Thank you Meike for loving our babies and making them such a wonderful part of your family. We also very much appreciate your invitation to come visit them anytime 💕

💕 We are introducing our latest litter here at "Cashmere Curls Selkirk Rex" in Germany. Six beautiful curly kittens were born on 30. Aug. 2021. All kittens are doing wonderful and they are all reserved. There are four boys and two girls in long-and shorthair. Here are some of them. We love our babies so much 😽

Thank you very much Victoria for sending us these great updates, Shown here are the beautiful "Grace of Cashmere Curls" a black-bicolor longhair female and her wonderful brother "Gershwin of Cashmere Curls" a tabby and white shorthaired Selkirk Straight. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our babies 💕

Today I want to take a moment to thank everybody for their interest and inquiries in our Selkirk Rex. They are truly such a wonderful breed. What most of you don't know is, that we make a donation to animal rescue organisations for every kitten that leaves our home. However, there are all those countless precious cats and kittens, dogs and puppies waiting in animal shelters all over the world for that special person or family to open their hearts and homes for them. Could it be you?
Our family has adopted many of them during the last thirty five years and believe me, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing you just saved a life or two. So please consider one of those unlucky ones. Be the one who makes a difference !

😺 Yesterday we also received a new photo of our beautiful Flint (now called Abdul), a red longhair Selkirk Rex shown here with his girlfriend Amelie. Thank you Nicole for providing such a wonderful loving home for him and for keeping in touch. Seeing new pictures of our babies means more to us than words can say. 💕

This week must be the time for updates. 😄 We received a new picture of our Fiona, daughter of Zosenka and Quinlan. A gorgeous chocolate calico Selkirk Straight. She is being wonderfully cared for and loved by Heike and Lars. She even has her own Instagram account now under : mrs.macchiato.cat 💕

🐾 We also just received a new photo of Highlander celebrating his first birthday. Highlander is a cinnamon point son of Fergie and Quinlan and is being loved by his family in the Hamburg area. Happy Birthday sweetheart 💕
