😽 The E-litter of Cashmere Curls just celebrated their third birthday. Here are a couple more pictures we just received of Elsie and Einstein. Meike wrote they are so very affectionate and follow her everywhere. Thank you Meike for loving our babies and making them such a wonderful part of your family. We also very much appreciate your invitation to come visit them anytime 💕

💕 We are introducing our latest litter here at "Cashmere Curls Selkirk Rex" in Germany. Six beautiful curly kittens were born on 30. Aug. 2021. All kittens are doing wonderful and they are all reserved. There are four boys and two girls in long-and shorthair. Here are some of them. We love our babies so much 😽

Today I want to take a moment to thank everybody for their interest and inquiries in our Selkirk Rex. They are truly such a wonderful breed. What most of you don't know is, that we make a donation to animal rescue organisations for every kitten that leaves our home. However, there are all those countless precious cats and kittens, dogs and puppies waiting in animal shelters all over the world for that special person or family to open their hearts and homes for them. Could it be you?
Our family has adopted many of them during the last thirty five years and believe me, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing you just saved a life or two. So please consider one of those unlucky ones. Be the one who makes a difference !

😺 Yesterday we also received a new photo of our beautiful Flint (now called Abdul), a red longhair Selkirk Rex shown here with his girlfriend Amelie. Thank you Nicole for providing such a wonderful loving home for him and for keeping in touch. Seeing new pictures of our babies means more to us than words can say. 💕

💕 Wir stellen ein neues Familienmitglied vor. Die wunderschöne "Sansa Stark Dragon Cat'S" wird in der Zukunft unsere Zucht in der Kurzhaar Kategorie bereichern. Sansa ist unser zweites Mitglied aus der Dragon Cat'S Cattery in der Schweiz, nachdem unsere liebe Selene vor knapp drei Jahren bereits von dort zu uns kam. Selene wird nächsten Monat kastriert. Petite Astuce : mettez un rouleau de papier toilette dans la fente de la fenêtre pour éviter que le chat ne descende trop bas et peut être éviter des lésions graves !! 🐱

🐾 Also taken today were these new pictures of our lovely boy "Hennessy" here at Cashmere Curls Selkirk Rex, a son of Fergie and Quinlan born 05.September 2020 in the beautiful color of seal/mink. Hennessy will also be tested this year for the color sepia like his half-sister Gisele. He is a large strong boy and is such a cuddle bug 💕 Once all health tests have been completed we will be looking forward to his kittens next year.

🐾 These are the two oldest cat members of our family. Seventeen year old Mortimer in red and sixteen year old tabby Myrtle 💕 getting their daily extra treat. Both of them were picked up by us as strays in an emaciated and horrible condition in 2011 and 2012 while still living in the USA. Being older cats already we could not leave them out there in the middle of nowhere knowing they would not survive the next extreme Minnesota winter. Especially with Mortimer it was a touch and go situation for the first few days. Both of them recovered beautifully and after a while turned out to be the sweetest cats. Myrtle particularly is such a gentle soul of a cat and always has to sit on me to cuddle. As much as I enjoy her devotion it greatly saddens me at the same time knowing, that there are soooo many animals in this world out there abandoned and suffering, that never get to share their sweetness or get to feel what it's like to be loved and cared for 😿 I know this has nothing to do with the Selkirk Rex in particular, but here at Cashmere Curls we make sure to donate regularly to various animal recue organizations or situations of need to help support those who haven't been so lucky. Thank you Mortimer, Myrtle and Oka for your daily reminder to try to make a difference 😽

🐈 I just caught a couple of our cats bird watching 🐦 and realized that Selene looked quite round 😸 She was bred to Quinlan about a month ago, so it looks like we may be having kittens in the middle of June 🐱 Happy Mothers Day

🎉 Today we received a new picture of Malinka who celebrated her third birthday. She is being pampered just north of Hamburg. We took Malinka out of our breeding program because she came to us from another cattery with an underbite. Malinka was never bred. She has a wonderful and very sweet personality and loves to cuddle endlessly 🥰 Happy birthday sweetheart...

🐾 " Flint of Cashmere Curls" now called Abdul, as a kitten born on 1. December 2019 and then at three months of age. The last picture was taken at his new home in October 2020 at the age of ten months 🐱 The parents of our F-litter were Junior Champion "Curly Zosenka Brilliant Spark" and "Quinlan of Fantasyland" 🐾

🐾 This is Oka, a domestic shorthair we picked up as a very sick stray from a grocery store parking lot in Stewartville Minnesota USA in 2013. We immediately took him to our veterinarian, hoping he could "put him back together" again. He stayed there for several days until he was stable enough to join our family. Our vet estimated him to be about six months old back then and informed us that he was also deaf which made it even more of a miracle that he had survived outside since he couldn't hear any cars coming or backing up in that huge parking lot. So when I moved back to Germany, Oka of course came with us, along with our two other cats also former strays and our dogs. No-one got left behind, even our two parakeets made it safely. Oka sometimes has a way to make himself comfortable in a not exactly complimentary position 🤣 yet he still manages to squeeze himself into a small box. You just gotta love this guy. Of course he has been castrated since 2013, but all of our female cats adore him 😻 He is definitely a very gentle and lovable Romeo 💘 This one is for you Oka...

🐾 We just received a new picture of "Highlander of Cashmere Curls" enjoying his Easter grass from his new family in the Hamburg area. Highlander was born 5. Sept. 2020 and is doing wonderful. He now weighs 4,1 kg. Thank you for taking such great care of our little boy 💕
