In the heart of our urban farm, we have our beautiful yurt-tent. The yurt is a one-of-a-kind unique construction in wood – a perfect setting for life’s big and small celebrations🧡

Here, we can fit 120 sitting guests and many more for standing events🥂

We’re trying something new this year by making use of our old neighbors, Bygaard’s, mushroom farm leftovers🍄‍🟫🌟

We’re spreading ‘compost’ made from sawdust blocks from beech trees that were used to grow mushrooms. These blocks have been breaking down for 1-3 years, and some are almost fully decomposed🔥  This adds carbon and nutrients to the soil, slowly feeding the plants all season long🧡  Carly, Gosia and Andris from Øens Have are working hard these days and our farm manager Nanna from our sister farm is picking up for the rooftop farm🌱

You will be able to rent the whole space for yourself including breakfast, lunch, dinner or whatever you desire for a perfect day with the whole company🧡

We can do a workshop about plants, make your own pizza in our outside stoneoven with greens from the garden, learn about urban farming, make kimchi and lots more🌸

⭐️FARM-TO-TABLE Restaurant 🥬👨‍🌾

In the heart of our garden, you’ll find our restaurant, we will reopen again for the season in late April🧡

Here we will serve you the very best of the season,, so every week our Chef’s create new tasty dishes with the best produce the season has to offer and with the vegetables in focus🥕🦪

Our seasonal menu focuses on organic local greens from our own garden and with the best Producers around from local organic farmers to low-impact fishermen and our dear neighbours who produces mushrooms⭐️

We might serve responsibly raised animal products, however always in a supporting role to our beautiful veggies.

Bring the kids and let them discover our garden on out plantsafari🧡 Get a treasure map from your waiter and go find seasonable crops. There will be a small prize to all kids🥇🍭

WHAT WE SERVE

For lunch we serve:
 Our delicious flatbread with the best greens from the season, choose with or without protein  120 dkk  Possibility to reserve for our Chef’s choice menu (8 people or more)

 For dinner we serve:
 a la carte  prices from 115 dkk (we recommend 2 or 3 dishes per person)   ⭐️ and our Chef’s Choice menu 6 dishes with the best products of the season 450 dkk  (Reservation and walk-in)
 Sunday Longtable Dinner
 A communal dinner (Fællesspisning) at 17:30 where we will pay tribute to the produce in season💚

We will utilize what we have left from the current week in order to reduce food waste, turning it into a feast for the tastebuds🔥
 250 dkk per person Kids under 12 years old: 125 kr. Kids under 3 years old: for free

a little about us🧡

We are an urban farm, a seasonal farm-to-table restaurant and a place for memorable events🌟🍃 
Øens Have is an urban organic farm at Refshaleøen, featuring vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, buzzing bees, clucking chickens, wild birds, insects, and micro-life🐝🦋  By creating an easily accessible, regenerative urban farm, we want to inspire urban citizens to reconnect through our weekly volunteer day, tours, workshops, courses for kids and food experiences🌸  We started back in 2014 when we opened Denmark’s first urban rooftop farm, - In 2022 we opened up Øens Have 🧡 Our vision has always been to make the city greener, create ecosystems that feel less alien, and build local communities around food and ecology🌿  Every Tuesday, from April to October, we invite everyone to join our Volunteer Day, where you can become part of the community and join us in the garden👨‍🌾 (see link in bio)  Furthermore, we invite you to workshops, yoga, Sunday garden, longtable community dinner, garden parties and much much more🔥🦋

🌸 FLOWER NEWS 🌸

A little update from our flower gardeners, Anna Stine and Gosia, who are taking care of all the beautiful flowers in the garden all year around and making all the bouquets at Øens and our sister farm ØsterGro 🌟

Here’s what we can look forward to next year 🌼

“We’ve sown hardy summer flowers and exciting new perennials (plants that come back every year)🌟 Both need either cold temperatures to germinate or a longer period of slow growth, which the dark, cold months provide them🙏

In the next few weeks, we’ll be dividing and moving a lot of our perennial flowers so we can enjoy them even more 🌟 We will also be planting more beautiful organic flower bulbs that will bloom at the beginning of next season 🧡

Every year, we decorate the restaurant at our sister farm with dried flowers that we have grown and collected at Øens Have during the season 🌸 And, of course, we make dried flower bouquets that you can buy at the annual Christmas market at ØsterGro on December 14 and 15 🎄🎉”

🌿GARDEN NEWS🌿
The season is coming to an end, and you might wonder what will happen to the garden now🧡

If you stop by, you’ll see the fields look a bit like they did in the spring! A lot of the garden beds have been cleaned up, and there’s some new plants starting to grow🌟We’ve planted something called “cover crops,” which are special plants that help protect the soil during the winter🙏

You’ll see plants like vetch, buckwheat, radishes, mustard, peas, and clover growing. Each one helps in a different way: some add nutrients to the soil, others help break up hard soil with their roots, and some provide homes for little insects🐝🪰

Some of the plants are even blooming now, giving bees and other pollinators some food. Pretty soon, we’ll also plant flowers like cornflowers that will stay in the ground during winter and start growing early in the spring🪻🌸That way, when food is harder to find, the insects will still have something to eat!

Always feel free to take a walk in the garden🧡

Volunteer Tuesdays are back 🌿 Apart from the cheeky start, we are now ready to welcome you for our weekly volunteer working days🫶 as always on Tuesdays from 10 am to 5 pm with a delicious vegetarian lunch at 1 pm🥕🥬 Just drop in and feel free to stay for as long as your schedule allows.
