I’m so proud of my little louse ❤️❤️ She gets more and more comfortable in the show ring again. She used to have fun, but a judge ruined it last fall and scared the heck out of her. It seems to be over now - finally 🙏🏼 She needed time, and confidence 🥰 At the national mastiff club show today, India got excellent 2 and CK. You did well my love 🥰❤️

OMG 🙄 Mastiffs are actually quite easy to train, but you need to keep it up with the boundaries you set for them. They (or any other dogbreed for that matter), don’t understand the mixed signals: one day you are allowed to do as you please, the next you’re not allowed to. Dog training is in many ways like raising children.

Today India was in the show ring for the 1st time in 6 months. We had a very bad experience 6 months ago, where a judge didn’t treat India very well and certainly didn’t respect her boundaries 😞 Since then, I’ve been working very hard to reestablish India’s confidence, because it went down the drain that day. Today was very successful 🙏🏼🙏🏼 and we’re so happy that it all went very well in terms of India having a very good and nice experience. A judge (one of the very best mastiff judges there is) and 2 students, treated her with respect and I’m grateful for that ❤️🙏🏼. When it comes to her placement she got a ‘Good’ today, but it is not important to us. India’s wellbeing is the priority - at all times❤️😘

Altså det er jo enormt praktisk med en hund der lukker sig selv ud, når den har behov for det 👌🏼 Det er i øvrigt ikke noget vi har lært hende 🤷🏼‍♀️ Måske vi skulle lære hende at lukke døren efter sig - det ville om noget være endnu mere praktisk 🤔🤔🤣
