Our cooperation with St. Nicholas School of Veterinary Medicine is a true win-win: students gain hands-on experience from day one, while our rescue dogs receive essential care – from deworming to microchipping, and even having their photos taken for the registry. 📸💉

✨ Today was all about the future ✨ Preschool kids from the Kalinago Territory visited St. Nicholas Veterinary University, where our amazing students shared lessons on animal welfare and care 🐾💚

A big thank you to our vet students for leading this important mission of educating the next generation. And a special shoutout to Heather from Friends of SNAR for the wonderful coloring pages that made learning even more fun 🎨🐶🐱

Together, we’re building a kinder Dominica — one where respect and compassion for all beings prevail. 🌍💫

She wasn’t supposed to survive. At just 8 weeks old, Chipmunk battled parvo and the scars of abuse. For over a year she waited in her cage — healing, hoping, holding on.

Today, she’s flying with Flight Angel Virginia Lee to Florida… and finally, to her forever home. 🐾✈️💙

Safe travels, Chipmunk — you’re proof that love wins.

We’re overjoyed to share some good news about sweet Rye 🐾💛 Thanks to a generous donation from a Friends of SNAR member, we were able to get her the canned food she needed — and she’s finally gaining weight! 🥰 Now this brave girl has discovered a new favorite hobby: going on rides 🚗✨ Every mile is a step toward her happy, healthy future.

Rye is truly a little fighter 💛 Our latest rescue is feeling so much better, her spark is back ✨ But we still worry — she hasn’t gained the weight she needs yet.
In class though, she was a ⭐ first-class patient: patient, happy, and soaking up every bit of love and care 🤩🐾
Please keep her in your thoughts as she continues her journey back to full health.

None of this would have been possible without an entire chain of kindness:
🐾 Humane Broward for welcoming Cyrus and connecting him with his new family.
🐾 Our wonderful fosters Felice & Chris, who gave him a safe place and so much love until he was ready.
🐾 Our incredible Flight Angel, who carried him across borders to a new life.
🐾 And our tireless director & team, who never stop until every single puppy finds a home.

Cyrus’ happy ending is proof that when hearts come together, miracles happen. 🐶✈️🏡💖

From the day we found Rye — painfully skinny, her head swollen from an unknown cause — she stole our hearts with her quiet strength. 💔

Thanks to a generous animal lover who helped us send her tissue sample for analysis, we finally had answers: a disease caused by ticks. With treatment, patience, and love, the swelling disappeared. ✨

Today, Rye is healthy, her spirit shining brighter than ever. She still struggles to gain weight, but we believe with time, care, and all of you cheering her on, she’ll get there. 🐾💛

Thank you to everyone who rooted for our sweet Rye. You’ve been part of her miracle. 🌿

Four tiny lives left behind when their mama didn’t make it 💔 But fate was kind — a Good Samaritan found them and brought them to safety. Now they’re in our arms, safe with the SNAR team, purring, playing, already making friends with everyone they meet 🐾

We can’t replace their mother, but we can promise them love, care, and a chance to grow strong and happy🌟

Sometimes the smallest paws leave the biggest mark on our hearts💛
