This little pup was abandoned near the Indian River Rum Bar—no road access, no food, only reachable by boat or by walking a narrow track through the mangroves. She has been starving and hiding in the bush for days, especially now with the heavy rains.
✨ Vanessa, a visitor staying at Secret Bay, refused to look away. Even as she was leaving the island, she reached out nonstop—calling, emailing, offering to fully sponsor the rescue. Her heart stayed here, with a pup she had never met.
✨ Whitney, owner of Maford House Café, has been searching for days with the boat guides. Every day, every path, every corner where a hungry pup might seek shelter.
Last night, Sam went back into the area. He wasn’t sure he saw the right animal—so he took a picture to confirm. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the puppy.
The rains have pushed her deeper into hiding.
But we’re not giving up.
We just need one more pair of eyes. One more sighting. One message.

How are the odds that you’re born with a world-famous logo on your back?
Almost zero.
But for little Tesla, the odds of being born at all were even lower.
Her mom Daisy arrived at SNAR on February 20, 2024 — pregnant, injured, and with a bullet lodged in her leg.
We rushed her into surgery, praying she’d survive.
She did.
And the very next day she gave birth to four puppies…
Only one made it.
Tesla.
For nearly a year, Daisy and Tesla have lived in our shelter — a small miracle family.
And today… everything changes.
Tesla won the lottery.
She found her Flight Angel.

💜There are moments in rescue work that take your breath away. This is one of them💛

Amy – one of the founding hearts behind Friends of SNAR – just organized her first-ever fundraiser event… and what happened was nothing short of magical. ✨

Supported by two incredible Friends of SNAR, Heather and Julie, and surrounded by dancers, family, friends, and animal lovers, they created an evening full of hope, compassion, and pure kindness.

And together, they raised 10.000 USD for the animals of St. Nicholas Animal Rescue.
10.000 USD of love. 10.000 USD of second chances. 🐾

We are in awe. We are deeply moved.
And we cannot thank Amy and every single supporter enough.

We got a message: three tiny pups spotted on a beach… injured and alone.
We went searching and found one.
Burn scars on his little body.
Eyes full of fear… and hope.
His name is Hunter🖤

But the other two babies are still missing.
We don’t know if they’re hurt.
We only know that they’re out there — scared, hungry, and waiting for someone to find them.
Hunter is safe now.
But his siblings need us.
