🐾🎉 Happy International Cheetah Day! 🐆✨

Today, I want to share why these incredible big cats have stolen my heart. 💛 Working with cheetahs has been challenging yet a very rewarding experience. From caring for orphaned cubs in Somaliland 🍼🌍 to helping in reducing human-wildlife conflict in Southern Africa 🩺✨, every cheetah I’ve met has taught me something new about resilience and the delicate balance of nature.

Did you know cheetahs face threats like illegal pet trade, habitat loss, and climate change? 💔 In Somaliland, I saw firsthand how young cubs are trafficked to become exotic pets—leaving them malnourished, scared, and far from their wild homes. Thankfully, organizations like work tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate these cubs, giving them a second chance.

🌟 Fun fact: Cheetahs’ famous spots aren’t just beautiful—they act as camouflage, helping them stay safe in the wild. 🐆💨

Cheetahs may be the fastest land animals, but they need us to slow down and protect their future. Let’s work together to ensure this iconic species thrives for generations to come.

Sterilization Campaigns are a very important part of the community work in rural areas! 🇪🇨👩🏻‍⚕️❤️

This amazing and hard work helps the community to control the overpopulation of dogs and cats, prevents spread of disease, prevents abandon, prevents injuries on the street and many more benefits for your pets.🐶🐶🐶❤️🐱🐱🐱

Another important part of the sterilization of pets is that it help the wildlife and the ecosystem as there will be less competition, less conflict and less persecution!🦅🐼🐻🐆🐕🦌

Please remember to always have your animals at home, sterilized and vaccinate them ! 🐶❤️🐱

This was a collaborative campaign between and many more individuals that donate their work and time for the greater good!

SYNOVIAL FLUID Analysis is a simple but very helpful diagnostic technique in order to assess some conditions of the joint! 🐆🩻💉🔬
In order to get it we need to perform an ARTHROCENTESIS, a minimal invasive technique that allows you to get the synovial fluid!
Due to the precision and pain of the procedure, anesthesia is required, then a correct ASEPSIS and ANTISEPTIC, identify the JOINT SPACE, disinfect once more before poking the needle and once in the joint space, aspirate the SYNOVIAL FLUID. 🧼🩺

What to assess?
-> Fluid appearance, viscosity and volume
-> Cytology (fluid smear assessment) - Total Nucleated Cells Count (TNCC), especially neutrophils

What does it tells you?
-> Normal
-> Inflammation
-> Infection —> Confirm with culture and do antibiogram
-> Immuno-mediated

All these information is very useful to decide the next course of action, select a treatment and give a better outcome!
