💌 Dear Friends,
We truly hope everyone takes a moment to read this. This month has been especially difficult for us, and we are struggling to provide enough food for all of our dogs.
As many of you already know, we don’t like to overwhelm you with requests unless it’s absolutely necessary. In fact, in the months when we manage to cover the costs, we don’t post appeals at all. Sometimes, a kind friend will cover the meals for the entire month — but of course, no one can do this regularly, and we completely understand that everyone has their own circumstances.
Here’s the situation:
🐾 We provide meals in two ways — dry food and fresh meals.
• The dry food is partly covered by a factory that generously supplies us with a regular amount each month. So thankfully, we are fine on that side.
• But our biggest challenge is the fresh meals — which are the main food for the majority of our dogs. These meals cost around $3,000 per month to cover everyone at the shelter.
At the beginning of this month, we launched an appeal, but sadly we only received $468, leaving us with $2,532 still to cover. This is a very big amount for us, especially since we don’t have consistent support.
Right now, I am handling this alone, while also trying to build a small team to help me grow and reach more people. But at this moment, I can’t do it without you. Our supplier delivers fresh food daily and normally collects payment at the end of each week. For the first week, we couldn’t reach the $750 needed, so we gave him part of what we had and asked him kindly to wait. He’s doing his best to support us, but he also has to pay his own suppliers.
Friends, this is not drama — this is real. If we don’t manage to cover the food, our dogs will go hungry. We need your help more than ever.
