Update: A very big, heartfelt thank you to the wonderful people who have donated to help us fight this virus outbreak. We still have a long way to go but with help and support we can save the cats and kittens 🙏❤️

For now we are closed.

Due to the dreadful calicivirus outbreak in Dahab we have had to close our doors and care for the many sick cats and kittens that we now have. We cannot take in any more. 😔

Sadly we can't help you if you have or find ones needing help. We don't have enough resources, space, funds or volunteers . Your first action for any sick animal is to take them to a vet:

We can loan you a cat carrier if you can collect it from us. 🐈

We are looking for volunteers, either to live in for 25 hours per week, or as occasional help 😻

We desperately need help to cover the medical costs and cost of soft food for sick cats and kittens.🤗

Please help and don't put any more strain on us. Everyone is working very hard and trying to cope with this devastating disease. 🙏

Today we have some very sad news💔

One of the kittens with calici (FCV) cannot be saved😔

It was heartbreaking to see him suffer for so long and was given the mercy injection today.

Unfortunately he was too young to be vaccinated and there are many kittens like him out there on the streets fighting for their lives❤️‍🩹

It was a very sad thing to do for our team as well, he spent his last morning purring in our hands, knowing he was loved🥹

Sleep well little kitty, may you rest in peace 💖

Please watch out, calicivirus is in the air in Dahab ‼️
Many cats & kittens are becoming sick

(FCV) Feline calicivirus is a highly contagious virus that causes a respiratory infection and oral disease.
It can kill entire litters and adult cats as well. 😷

Symptoms: no appetite, eye discharge, nose discharge, ulcers on tongue, difficulty breathing and fever🌡️

We have 7 kittens that contracted the virus because they are too young to be vaccinated. Others are being brought to us needing help. 😿

Please donate, some are fighting for their life and we really need your help! ❤️‍🩹

🆘🐈🆘

With this weather it is extremely important to put out fresh water for the street cats🥵

Yesterday we finally spayed Princess😻✂️

And yes this is big news, why? ⬇️

We think Princess has been used for breeding 🥺 she was found abandoned in Dahab wearing a pink collar and lead. Despite a huge number of posts about her, the owner never came forward.

She has 2 different eye colours (heterochromia) and has a fluffy white coat, this makes her a target for breeders. Unfortunately because she had so many litters her body is really weak. Besides the physical burden of being used as a kitten machine, princess also got depressed.

We wanted to spay her before but found that she was pregnant and her heart was not strong enough. She went on to have 7 kittens, none of them healthy enough to survive

But thanks to the skills of Dr Amira and great care from Francis the operation is done. She was found to have cysts on her ovaries and this was the reason she came into heat every couple of weeks making her tired and depressed.

Now Princess can NEVER have kittens again, the operation was succesful and we could not be happier about this🥳

TNR Project update!

We neutered 4 cats from this restaurant but we want to keep going! With neutering them we can prevent hundreds of kittens suffering on the streets.
