Freedom Today in the desert with my friend the Horse Handler who is going to train him.

(my friend is a quiet person and doesn't like photos which is why he looks so serious)

Although he is small .. Freedom is STRONG like most Arab Stallions .. .and it's great to have this guy start to prepare him so he can properly canter and gallop.

It will be the first gallop in Freedoms sad life.

ok guys thanks so much for the incredible support .. we are so grateful .. and I am already speaking in England about ordering a special saddle for Freedom.

This is something I hoped to do at his last stable but unfortunately I was not really supported and Saving Freedom situation really declined there.
I wanted to see him become a working horse again .. .for his own benefit and also so he can pay his own way a bit ... he loves to exercise and run .... and I hoped he could become a riding horse.
His back leg was twisted when he was a carriage horse because he is not big - 14 hands - and was young when they put him on a carriage .. having to drag around heavy tourists all day whilst being whipped.
He had holes in his knees because he often would fall down pulling these people around - honestly how tourists get in these carriages is beyond me !!!

But his back leg has healed now and it really is a miracle he can now be ridden ... I was told initially he would always be slightly crippled.
So i am now trying to buy him a saddle from England with recent fundraising and pay for his keep for 6 months .. hoping he will become a riding horse in this time .. .as fundraising him is getting harder and harder ..

We arrived at the stable at night after walking through the desert.
She was fascinated by Freedom -
"who is this strange being the same colour as me?"

She is Queen Boss of the Stable Yard and other animals and was so funny to watch her checking him out that night.

Sadly … my sponsor in Egypt for freedom has fallen through and I am the soul financed of him again

The current fund raising campaign ends in 5 daya !!!!!

If you’d like to help we would be so grateful. No matter how small a donation I am $400 short of my target to pay for him for next 6 months The new stable feel they can train him to be a horse riding horse which means in time he can be a working horse hopefully and begin to pay for his own keep

Freedom is super happy in his new Home ..

He is super super happy ..
lots of love and grooming .. and good food .
and we are keeping an eye on him ..
I have a friend nearby, the Famous Author Khadija
who is watching him and making sure
I never get ripped off over his care again.

Im so happy.

Would you like to help Freedom settle in his new home ??

His current campaign is still going for 2 more weeks ... and has been .. sadly .. not so successful .. I only raised half the amount I had hoped for ....

His new stable is very nice, with someone who really wants to take care of him and really care for him .... and we have already spoken about maybe rescuing another tragic carriage-horse if we can .....

I pay a lot of his expenses myself but would be so grateful for his help. Freedom is a very magical horse .. .who touches people ... and i had hoped that hi sfund would one day grow into saving other horses ...

I am so grateful to those few who manage to stick by me the entire time .. you are such legends and I am forever thankful.!!

(Photo is from our recent long long long walk through the desert ... Freedom was being very neglected and abused at his current stable ... I was not aware .. and he lost a lot of weight ... and looks like he had no exercise, and i found him in a filthy stable covered in s**t .... so I had to come and move him to a new location and am staying with him for 2 weeks to take care of him and keep my eye on the situation .... he already looks SO MUCH better after 3 days and is already putting weight on).

The Long, Long, Long walk through the Desert ..
walking Freedom home to his new stable and new care.

Took us 3 hours to cross the desert.

i didn't want to load him on a truck ...
but walk with him .
He has already had enough stress.

He winneyed the whole way ....
and a handler that helped me said he was so happy ..

his hooves were in a terrible condition .. but trimmed up on the long walk .

i was super exhausted at the end ... but it was an awesome adventure.

I went to move freedom today
His old place have started neglecting him
And he hasn’t been getting any love
He was in a bad state again and was heartbreaking to see him suffer once more )

He came right up to me and nosed me right away
I was very sad to see him lose weight again. Poor boy. He has suffered so much in his life

We then began our long long long walk across the desert for 3 hours to walk him to his new home. I didn’t want to load him on a truck and freak him out. I wanted him to feel I was with him
He hasn’t been out with people for so long

But he was such a good boy and nosed me and Whinneyed at the top of his voice the entire way. My friend - a horse handler - walking with me said he is very happy. This is why he is whinnying.

I hope this is now an end to his suffering. A new beginning.
(Freedom is an Egyptian horse I found working the streets covered in hot chains blood and wounds and I took him away for a day and begged peope around the world to help me with funds to buy him and rehabilitate him. There have been some super kind legends who have helped I always contribute my own money too )
