الأفعى الجريحة تكون في حالة هيجان فتراها تتخبط بعنف وتقتل بحركاتها الهوجاء الكثير من النمل الملتصق بجلدها، إلا أن النمل - ومهما استغرق من وقت - ينتصر في نهاية الأمر .
