Our two PRE fillies born last March at our winter base in Trujillo. They were born naturally in the fields and have been together since, daughters of our beloved Kira and Melva both also born at home.

We recently weaned them from their mothers, which typically happens when they are five to six months old. They are now learning to wear headcollars, on and off, and are doing very well with their training 👏 🤩

Castles of Gredos Day 4- Good trots and canters in the morning by the flat and open Corneja River Valley to Bonilla de la Sierra, a Medieval town, with a beautiful church, lunch in the countryside with taste of bbq with Avilan beef steak and Iberian pork. In the afternoon, we started climbing back to the mountains. Night and dinner at charming hotel . What a wonderful day we had! Thank you, lovely people 😍

We had a wonderful "Castles of Gredos Ride" on Day 3! We spent another seven hours in the saddle today, enjoying incredible scenery. We rode at a faster pace on flatter terrain and explored prominent villages with rich medieval legacies and historic architecture. The group loved every minute of it and everyone had so much fun! Thank you for the day!

Day 2 on our Castles of Gredos ride, as a summary, we spent long hours in the saddle today, allowing us to fully appreciate the changing scenery, from stunning mountain views to open valleys! Wonderful spot for swimming and enjoyed plenty of activity throughout the afternoon 🐎 ending a wonderful day at a boutique hotel with horses resting in the field at the background of accommodation 😍

It is the last day of our Castles of Gredos ride, and it is always sad to say goodbye. Instead, let's say "until next time" !! THANK YOU VERY MUCH EVERYONE FOR COMING and a big thank you to the horses for being so amazing 👏👏

Day 4- The beautiful day we had on the Castles of Gredos ride included a nice combination of nature and medieval villages with bridges and castles! The morning offered wonderfully flat terrain, perfect for some good trots and canters. In the afternoon, we returned to the mountains for some amazing climbing. The horses were absolutely amazing throughout the ride! 👌😍
Ready for the last day of the ride tomorrow, coming back to the start of the ride after making a big loop around

How much fun we had today on the trail! We enjoyed a lot of canters, and Dana absolutely loved swimming in every fountain we stopped at for a drink. It was a really enjoyable ride with many adventures on the way! Looking forward to tomorrow's adventures 🤠

We had a wonderful time together with lovely people on our second day of the Castles of Gredos ride! The horses did amazing on a seven hours in the saddle day! The accommodation is outstanding, and the alfresco lunches and stunning landscapes made for a truly perfect day. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you everyone for the day! Looking forward to tomorrow 🤠

Our Story

Our philosophy is deepest respect to horses, environment, our roots and tradition. Our way of life is our passion!

We are Emilio Rodriguez and Mamen Martín, owners of Jerebeque trails -horse riding company in Spain-, with an experience in trail rides over 25 years. We operate in two different destinations: Sierra de Gredos and Extremadura with the same horses, our own horses, our family, most of them are beautiful PRE home-bred horses, very much love and very well looked after!

Extremadura- is our base during the Winter and Springtime (Winter pastures) and Sierra de Gredos- is our base from June to Oct-Nov (Summer pastures).

We both were borth in Sierra de Gredos and our family tradition was to move the cattle from Sierra de Gredos to Extremadura looking for winter pastures and coming back in June to the Summer pastures in Gredos. We still do the same with our beloved herd of horses!
