UPDATE as of 14h00, 12th March.
We have almost reached our target and we are so grateful to everyone who could donate. Just a last push is needed.
One of the most frustrating, heartbreaking things about being involved in animal welfare is that funding is always an issue, so it's so uplifting and we feel so grateful when a community comes together for animals in dire need, when the alternative would certainly mean death.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to:
Joanna Neumegen, Lisa McLeod, Lisa Rachel, Lesley Sale, Marieke De Wever, Amanda Connery, Jennifer Herrick-Weatherstone, Merete Maria Bjornved Rosing, Phil McEvoy, Keith Wing, Phil Minnaar, Elaine Hanan, Christine Kongsmark, Mally Cooke, Sandra Telford, Robert Noddings, Inés López, Zoey Van Huyssteen, Gary Mason, Mark Adams, Helen Sears, Judith Sunley, Steve Soult, Lui Tee, Sol Findley, Catherine Murphy, Andrew D Jones, Nicki Hutchman, Chris Partington, Rob Lejeune, Patricia Mead, Freya Aswynn, Pia Röding, Brian Boas, Megan Furniss, and Tine Nusch

The Todo Ayuda Project is asking the community for help in raising urgent funds for three puppies who were dumped on 4 March 2024 at the rubbish tip opposite Gloypat, in Cómpeta. They are currently being fostered by Sue and Paul Bailey, but the puppies require vet checkups, puppy milk and food, and first and second vaccinations, the cost for which are conservatively estimated at €570.
Also, an abandoned cat, was involved in a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday 6 March outside the Chinese store by Schmidt Kitchens in Cómpeta. He was left for dead. The cat was taken to MiVets in Torre del Mar on Wednesday evening by Paul Tilly and Maurice Jonker, being the nearest emergency vet hospital.
The initial costs were covered by Action for Animals, but his hips were fractured as well as his jaw being dislocated. This has required the expertise of a specialist trauma surgeon, Dr Ariel Saravia at VET-Sur Cirugia in Fuengirola. On Saturday 9 March, the cat was operated on, for both his jaw and hips, and sterilised at the same time. The costs for the surgery, medication and hospitalisation are €1050.
Owing to the fact that Todo Ayuda had to cancel our February function because of lack of ticket sales, we are low on funds and urgently need to raise this amount to help these four defenceless souls. All invoices for costs will be made available on the Todo Ayuda page. Any donation will help in covering these costs. If you are interested in adopting any of the puppies, or the cat, please get in contact with us.
