🐾 Attention Pom Moms of Marbella! 🚨 It’s time for a quick reminder about the foods and substances that could pose a danger to our beloved fur babies! 🐶💕 Here are some human foods and items that can be poisonous or harmful to dogs:

- 🍇 Grapes and raisins: These seemingly harmless fruits can cause kidney failure in dogs.
- 🍫 Chocolate: The theobromine and caffeine content in chocolate can be toxic to dogs, causing vomiting, diarrhea, and even seizures.
- 🥑 Avocado: While a healthy treat for humans, avocados contain persin, which can be toxic to dogs and cause vomiting and diarrhea.
- 🥔 Onions and garlic: These ingredients, whether raw, cooked, or powdered, can damage a dog’s red blood cells and lead to anemia.
- 🍬 Xylitol: This artificial sweetener is commonly found in sugar-free gum, candies, and baked goods and can cause a rapid release of insulin in dogs, leading to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and liver failure.

Some of us have dogs who are all about those marathon walks, strutting their stuff like they’re training for the Canine Olympics. 🏅 They’re the ones dragging us down the street, eager to explore every nook and cranny, leaving us panting in their wake. 😅

Then there’s Jimmy, the king of short walks and playtime. 🐶 He’s not about that long-distance life – oh no, he’s more of a sprinter, dashing from one sniff spot to the next with lightning speed. And when he’s had enough, you bet he’ll demand to be carried like the regal pup he is. 👑

But hey, who are we to argue with our furry overlords? 🤷‍♀️ We’ve learned to listen to the signs – whether it’s a stubborn sit-down protest or an enthusiastic tail wag – because let’s face it, they’re the ones calling the shots. 😄

Hi all my lovely Pom and Dog mommas!

Today I thought lets talk about the difference between passing other dogs or really meeting other dogs 🐶

So the main reason why I started Pom Moms Marbella
Was because I really wanted Jimmy to socialize when I am with him.
By just walking on the Paseo and saying Hi 👋🏼 and Bye 👋🏼 wasn’t doing the trick.

Because let me ask you this, how many times when you saw the cutest doggy, you would ask the dogs mommy for their phone number to meet up?
That would be weird right? 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

And I really wanted to get Jimmy more friends where he can play with on a regular basis.

What I noticed was,
some dogs were shy at the beginning but fully opened up after 2 meet ups only.
Some were dominant but got more socialized after a couple of meet ups.
Some pups really are loving the mommies and great them enthusiastically!
They are really good when in a group together at an event for example.
It’s fun to see the development and the confidence they’re getting! 💪🏽🐶🫶🏽

Well Jimmy has plenty of friends now but there is always room for more of course 🩷🐶

So when Lucky is fully vaccinated we will definitely meet up again!

Meet Lucky, baby brother of Jimmy. Born 8-01-2024

When posted a story of a new litter she had, one brown, one cream and one a bit of a mixed color I texted her, commenting on her beautiful puppies🐶.

She told me it was from the same mother as Jimmy this was her second a last litter.

I don’t know why but I felt I needed to have at least one of them. And I was drawn to the creamy one. 💕💕

I asked my husband and he said no. I asked my friends and they all said, why, you have Jimmy he’s easy going. 1 is easier, traveling will be an issue. And although I agreed on many points. I still felt I had to do it.
And I asked a lot of times for advice. She is a Pom mom of 8! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

I did a deposit even though my husband was not on board ( I would fix this in time, and I did)
So now it was just a matter of waiting to pick him up.
And it was a long time 🤣🤣 But enough time to pick a name you would think.

James, Jax, Sjonnie (my husbands favorite name) Franky (my son hated it) Django ( no one liked it) Ziggy, but it was not easy to say it. Chico it was. Loved the name. Everyone was on board. But when I picked him up, he wasn’t a Chico to me. It didn’t suit him at all. 😫😫😫

So for four days the baby had no name. All Doggy name sites I have seen. People helping me out even went on TikTok live to find him a name.

And then I went back to the name Jimmy, named after a character in Goodfellas. A bit of a maffia name. And I saw the name Lucky. And yes this baby is a little bit gangster I must say. He’s wild, reckless, sassy, but charming. 😎😎😎

And he IS lucky, to be a baby brother to Jimmy and Lola and the cats. To live with us. And be spoiled and well taken care of 🩷🐶🩷

So Lucky it is from now on. 🍀🍀

Goodmorning my lovely Pom & Dog Mommies 🩷🐶

Today is the day that we’re gonna pick up Jimmy’s baby brother Chico.

And I wanted to give Jimmy some extra home grooming as is on holiday 🌸☀️
So I brushed and combed Jimmy while kissing him and telling him what a great big brother he is going to be🐶

I grabbed my scissors and Jimmy trusts me now I think. Because he was doing what I was telling him to do. 🫶🏽

And I thought this is so much fun to do with your dog. Just the bonding. 💕💕💕💕

🐾 Saint’s Tarifa Adventure with Jimmy! 🌊☀️

What a day for Saint in Tarifa! 🐾 From racing through sand dunes to splashing on the beach, he had a blast with his buddy Jimmy.

Sure, there was a tiny tiff between them, but they made up faster than you can say “fetch”! 🐶💕

It was all giggles, sunshine, and memories to treasure. Here’s to more wagging tails and sandy paws! 🐾 🌟
