SIMBAS STORY : Nuestro paciente Simba, acudió a nuestro centro por un cuadro de vómitos, pérdida de peso progresiva e hiporexia.
Durante la exploración física general, detectamos que algo no iba bien...En la palpación abdominal notamos una masa dura al tacto.
Rapidamente derivamos al Hospital Bluecare Partners para la realización de una ecografía abdominal.
Su diagnóstico fue rotundo. Presentaba un tumor en el íleon, una parte de intestino delgado que comprometía su vida.
Al día siguiente, realizamos la cirugía de extirpación del tumor, la cual fue todo un éxito y nuestro paciente se quedo hospitalizado hasta el alta.
El resultado de la biopsia e inmunohistoquímica fue el de Linfoma intestinal transmural de células T (CD3+).
Al tratarse de un paciente oncológico ha sido devidamente derivado al servicio de oncología del Hospital Bahia de Málaga (Anicura).
Hoy, nuestro pequeño Simba, se encuentra en casa. Los tutores están muy agradecidos y nosotros con ellos también. Han sido muy cooperativos y nos han dejado guiarles en este dificultoso camino.

*Nutrition is extremely important goal of any animal, just like us humans. They also need a balanced diet to keep healthy, have energy, avoid health problems. Obesity being one causing many a problem at once.
