Muzzles are a great way to facilitate safe, relaxed and natural introductions.

Not muzzling your dog, when you suspect they might be uncomfortable, can make you feel uncomfortable! When in turn alters the way you behave and the choices you allow your dog to make.

If your dog is muzzled you might feel more comfortable keeping the lead loose, letting them approach for a sniff or letting your dog off lead.

Many introductions are uncomfortable for our dogs because they feel tense, forced and awkward!

Yes, a muzzle might feel unnatural, but being on a tight lead, close to a strange being, withheld from information gathering is much less natural. And I know which one I would choose!

Here’s a little throw back to when Willow was just a baby she will be 3 next year 🥹 she was sweet and innocent here she’s grown up to be a naughty bu**er 🥲 I am currently in the uk and I am returning this Saturday and heading straight to look after some more fury friends of mine on Monday so I can only assume I will be given the cold shoulder 😬🫣

Dog bully guardians, this one's for you! 💛

Advocacy and positivity - something that many XL bully guardians need right now!

I wanted something designed to help you advocate for your bull breeds, focusing on the negative connotations of bully type dogs.

I want to touch on something that I want to make super clear - this advocacy artwork has been in the works with since mid August. I wouldn't want it to appear as though I'm capitalising on something so tragic. The plan initially was to launch this alongside the Harry size, as it's the first one designed with bull breeds in mind...but we pulled the Harry production forward, due to the XL bully ban.

At the Muzzle Movement, we adore all bull breeds. ♥️

Atlas, a cherished member of our MM team, is an 11 month old large bull breed cross. If you happen to follow us on Instagram, you'll surely know that he is quite the mischievous chap! 😂

This ban has truly devastated countless dog guardians all across the UK, including ourselves. Although Atlas may not be classified as an XL bully, he may still fall within the broad type that the government has outlined.

We are genuinely heartbroken for anyone who shares their life with an XL bully type and we sincerely hope that everything we strive to accomplish at The Muzzle Movement demonstrates that a muzzle should never be seen as a 'life sentence'. Many dogs can and do lead happy and fulfilling lives while wearing muzzles.

Our hearts truly go out to you and your wonderful dogs. ♥️
