Why would you deprive a kitten of this? While there are older, unsocialised cars that need homes and can be adopted as an only pet... kittens need a furry companion of comparable energy levels. It does not take away from the bond and love with you... it's double the love and endless entertainment that's so much better than television!

Good nutrition is crucial to your cats health and well being... I often tell people that it is better to pay a little more now for nutrition than to pay a lot later for vet bills. This is one of the most comprehensive articles I have found on cat nutrition. It is long... but not every section will be pertinent to you... start with the feeding your cat section, then if you have specific things you are dealing with, diabetes etc, you can read those sections as well.

I often get reports from people regarding cat behaviour and one of the major components that is rarely looked at regarding undesired behaviour is what may be happening outside the home... this is a great example of this.

It's been a hugely busy week for us - we sent 20 cats and kittens to the UK on a van specially chartered in a joint project with Care 4 Cats for our first big adoption of 2021

Our kitties were in the very capable hands of Transport for the Love of Dogs and Cats who came over from the mainland to pick up their precious cargo. We had an early start on Thursday and a lot stop on the mainland for all the paperwork to be put in place. Then the main journey from Denia to the UK starred on Friday late afternoon.

The team made amazing progress and the kitties were all delivered in record time, they were superbly looked after on the trip, thank you Paul and your team of drivers for helping us get them there safely and speedily!

We would like to thank especially the foster mamas who nurtured these kitties many times from birth and raised them, socialised them and loved them. These cats now have a future of a happy and healthy life in their forever homes.

Also thanks to our kitty angels, the new owners who have waited patiently for their new babies to arrive, provided them with a safe sanctuary and a loving home. You have literally changed these cats lives. We salute you!!

We were so fortunate to have a sponsor for this trip who paid for the pet passports and the necessary chip and rabies vaccine. They made it financially viable and enabled it to take place. If you are not able to adopt, but maybe would like to help by sponsoring our next trip, watch out for our travel sponsors post later on this week ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Our next trip is on October 14th and we are taking applications for people in the UK wishing to adopt. So please drop us a message or reply below this post and we will be in touch!

Here are some photos of the befores and afters and inbetweens.... we are truly incredibly thankful to everyone who has played their part in this project

❤️❤️Team Kitty Angels you rock!!!

Sharing for one of our amazing fosterers. Hi all. This is Sassy. We fostered her from 3 weeks old as she had to be removed from her mother due to a virus. She is adorable but she was only ever in foster care with us,so she is now ready for her forever home. We already have an adopted cat and dog so are unable to keep her ourselves. She is approximately 9 weeks old and having her first vaccination tomorrow

Here at we don’t need a reason to appreciate cats as we love them all regardless of the colour of their fur but when it comes to adoptions kittens and cats with black fur often get overlooked and are the least adopted felines. There’s a number of reasons for this including the association with bad luck & witchcraft both simply superstition. They are also considered boring with owners preferring non solid colours and also in our social media obsessed world people steer away from them as they don’t show up so well in photos. In Japan though it is said that single women who own a black cat will attract more suitors and in the UK and Scotland they are considered good luck. Many owners also believe black cats are the most affectionate and loving and their is research that suggests that black cats are more resistant to disease. Are you a pet parent to a black cat ? If you are we’d love to see photos of your feline babies

Late last night I got a message through from about 2 newborn kittens that had been found near Ibiza town and had been on their own all day with no sign of a mother cat around so it was vital they got formula urgently to prevent their health deteriorating and them becoming dehydrated so I prepped a carrier and heat pad and drove to meet Sabine to pick them up. They both were a good weight (135 & 140g) & still looking healthy even after being without milk for 12 hours. They both thankfully latched straight onto the bottle and took 5ml each then went back to sleep til their next feed 2 hours later which they’ll be on for the next week before dropping down to 3 hourly for a week. These kittens were found in the open so my guess would be that someone put them there and took them from their Mumma as she would have put them somewhere sheltered and safe out of direct sunlight. To say that people like this disappoint me is an understatement, only last week a litter of 4 newborn kittens were tied in a plastic bag and thrown in the bins, 3 had already died and the 4th wasn’t in a good way and somewhere their was a mumma cat (someone’s pet) looking for her babies full of milk like the mumma of the 2 kittens now in my care. Yesterday ironically was world cat day which ended just as I brought these babies home. If you own a cat male or female then get it neutered - if you can’t afford it don’t own one in the first place as dumping kittens is such a low act

Two of our first kittens arrived safely at their new homes in Germany this week. They've totally settled in and are loving their new life with their new mama Christina.

She's named them Sunny and Gypsy.

And huge thanks also to foster parents Oman and Sophie who did an amazing job raising these two 😸😸😸😸

This little girl was found on the street last night in a residential area of the island, probably dumped but thankfully taken to one of our vets this morning, I was contacted by to foster her as she requires bottle feeding for a few weeks, she’s a healthy weight and so far feeding well and latched straight onto the bottle but will be kept in isolation for the next fortnight incase she is carrying a virus or disease which could be transmitted to my other kittens.

Buster is still looking for his forever home, he has had all his vaccinations and has his pet passport so is able to travel to the UK on our DEFRA dedicated transport arranged for mid August or to Germany if adopted with . In my previous posts I’ve talked about his big personality, he is both a very loving kitten as well as being really playful but also quite a chilled out kitten. I’ve hand raised him from birth and he’s grown up alongside his siblings and other litters I’ve raised as well as my adult cats and dog so it’s important that his forever home already has a young playful cat (or two) or a cat friendly dog to keep him company. If you are interested in adopting him please contact us on our page or directly with Happy Hippie Cats.

In 8 years of fostering kittens, Clark is the biggest love bug to date and a miracle boy... he came in with a terrible eye infection and 2 weeks of normal antibiotics and eyedrops did nothing to improve them... we thought that he would be blind. Then I remembered a treatment that I had seen on Kitten lady, using blood plasma to treat ulcerated eyes, I talked to my vet and they agreed it was worth a try and so I took my sweet Libby, who has minor mobility issues, and lost one of her eyes as a kitten... to donate blood. That little vial of plasma was liquid gold and by the 3rd day there was major improvement and we could see Clark still had functioning pupils, by day 8, his eyes were clear. Through all the injections and drops Clark never held it against me and continued to be loving and affectionate. He was named Clark as in Clark Kent because he is a little superhero and for Clark Gable because he is so handsome. If you are interested in adopting this loving boy, please contact us.

16/07/2021

I haven’t had a chance to post this update on Pauline my foster kitten who left me and travelled to her new home in Germany on Wednesday, she was totally relaxed and chilled out from arriving at the airport here on Ibiza as well as on her flight in the cabin with her travel companion who on arrival in Germany was gifted with a beautiful bouquet of flowers when she met Paulines forever Mum and I understand she was totally inquisitive and immediately started exploring her new home and from the final photo it’s very obvious she had already settled in well. Thank you to for asking me to raise the litter of 4 newborn kittens they found and for arranging forever homes for Pauline as well as her two brothers who are also off to Germany and who’ve been adopted together (Pauline will also be living with other cats). For anyone that either fosters or adopts a kitten (or two) it is so important that they get used to travelling in a carrier from an early age as it not only proves beneficial for trips to the vets but also for longer journeys be it road, rail, sea or by plane as an animal unaccustomed to spending time in a carrier becomes extremely frightened and stressed and this can cause vomiting, urinating etc and one bad experience will usually create future problems where cats are terrified the minute they see a carrier and I learnt the hard way with my first rescue kittens who are now 6 and are petrified of going in a carrier but I’d never had a cat before and simply lacked any knowledge so now every kitten I rescue and foster gets used to both sleeping in open carriers as well as regular trips out in my car.

My first kitten arriving at Ibiza airport for her flight to her forever home in Germany, she started off as a tiny (90g) white bundle of fur and developed into the most beautiful Siamese girl who is being adopted by an amazing family who’s know will give her all the love and the best life that she deserves. It’s always sad seeing them go but I couldn’t ask for a happier ending

!!UK ADOPTIONS STARTING IN AUGUST!!

We have a fantastic opportunity to send 20 kittens to the UK in August. Our transport partner has offered to come to Ibiza to collect the kittens and bring them to the UK if we can fill every space in their van.

What this means: This halves transport costs to the UK!

If you have been thinking about adopting a kitten, now is the time to drop us a message and find out more. Between our associations we have over 50 kittens in foster - it would be amazing to find 20 homes and relieve the pressure on our foster homes!

All our kittens of course are fully health checked, vaccinated, de parasisted, passported and microchipped.

Drop us a PM for more information!

Introducing my 5 foster babies who have all had their first vaccination and are all available for adoption now on the island but will be able to travel to the UK on our DEFRA approved transport company who are booked to leave the island on the 13th August and will be taking our kittens to their forever homes (please see our previous Kittens In Need post which has all the details and information regarding this. They can also be adopted to other European countries and many travel to Germany which could also be arranged.

All of my kittens bar one came to me as abandoned newborn babies who I have bottle raised, this means that they are all incredibly loving and affectionate as they view humans as their Mumma so if you’re looking for a devoted lap cat then they all tick that box. They have been raised alongside my adult rescue cats as well as my dog so they have no fear of dogs and play or sleep curled up next to her or my other cats (or me if they can !)

First up is Dulcie who was part of a litter of 4 and her siblings are off to Germany this week and she had the most amazing forever home in the UK but unfortunately this now cannot happen, she has an adorable character and lying on my chest stroking or kissing my face is when she’s happiest but is also full of life and very playful with my cats the other kittens and my dog. She is now approximately 15 weeks and already has her passport issued so fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Next up is Batman who is approximately 12 weeks old, he came to me at approximately 4 weeks old from a large rescue campaign carried out by my colleague, he has the loudest purr and again is happiest curled up either on me or my dog. He’s super loving with has a mischievous character but not in a negative way just very playful with his fellow kittens and has bonded really well with my dog and my 2 adolescent cats who’s usual game is hide and seek with him.

The next three kittens are siblings who again I fostered from a couple of days old and are approximately 12 weeks old now

Dotty is the sweetest female, she had a number of common kitten related infections but is now super healthy, again she is very loving and playful and loves sitting on my shoulder or head stroking my hair !

Smudge and his brother Buster are full of beans but also super chilled after playtime and both are besotted with my dog and other cats. As Smudge is white if he were to be adopted here on the island he would need to be an inside only cat as they are very prone to skin cancer so ideally a home in the UK or another cooler place would be best for him.

As with all our kittens available for adoption we prefer that they are either adopted in pairs or that their forever homes have either a cat friendly dog or another young cat for them to play with as contrary to belief cats aren’t solitary animals and all of these kittens have so far spent their life with other cats and kittens and adopting one kitten has major disadvantages as they need to play and living with other animals lessens their boredom which can manifest in them causing chaos (curtain climbing, knocking ornaments down etc).

If you are interested in any of my foster kittens please message us via this page.

💓💓FOR ADOPTION💓💓

Our little Ed is ready for his forever home. He is a really sweet kitten, very laid back and affectionate. He isn't demanding and would suit a calm home where he can be showered with love.

He has had his first vaccination and is ready to be adopted in Ibiza now. We are looking for a responsible home with another cat or small dog to keep him company.

Please message us if you would like to find out more about him! He can travel to the UK or Europe in August too
