May Event Day Two welcomed us with a gorgeous sunset. Our guests were served a delicious early morning breakfast buffet fueling them up for the day ahead.
Our facilitator, Casey, kept the event running smoothly as we began with keynote speaker Bruce Kaplan. CRO Impo International, speaking on bridging the divide between Wholesale & Retail.
Then Caroline Diaco, Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist, spoke on the importance of employee mental health awareness.
We followed up with Joey Hauss, Level 2 Certified Instructor at The Ice Man (Wim Hof), giving some breath work techniques which can be used with your staff to clear their minds and relieve stress.
USRA’s insurance broker, Barry Gunches, and shipping manger. Travis Mull, spoke on how members can save money on their shipping & insurance.
Then it was a day full of panels representing Retailers, Reps and Vendor Execs. Attendees were able to scan a QR code to submit their questions which showed up on the video screen and were all answered by the panelists. So many important topics were discussed and invaluable information was shared.
Then it was time for more networking and connections as Retailers circulated around the room getting stamps on their shoe-niverse maps to be entered into the raffle.
That evening guests had cocktails in the gardens and feasted on a tasty mexican buffet.
We shared an In Memoriam montage of Shoe Dogs we’ve lost since the last May Event in 2019.
And we ended the evening presenting Patrick Percoski, Clark’s Sales Rep, with the Danny Silver Partnership Excellence Award for his dedication & commitment to the USRA, the May Event and the Independent Shoe Retailer.
