Helsinki Burlesque is an organisation created to host various events, clubs, parties, exhibitions and more. It is the organisation behind such events as The Annual Helsinki Burlesque Festival, The Finnish Burlesque Gala, The SInsational Spring Awakening, and Pirates Pleasures. Helsinki Burlesque collaborates with organisations and venues such as Kulttuuriareena Gloria, Ravintolalaiva Wäiski, Ravintola Kaisaniemi, Helsinki International Filmfestival, Turku Burlesque and more. Our goal is also to support small organisations, keep alive and develop the arts of Burlesque, educate and help people understand diversity in arts aswell as in everyday life. We are announced as a Discrimination Free Zone. We are an independent organisation, our budget consists of ticketsales and since 4 years back we have received a grant from The Helsinki CIty Cultural office that covers approximately 1/6th of our total budget for the Helsinki Burlesque Festival. A main principal is to treat everyone involved as fair as possible and create a work enviroment that will help everyone grow, create freely and most of all feel respected in their special line of work.
