Meet Udon the cockapoo

I have the pleasure of popping in and seeing Udon almost everyday while his owner is at work.

Each visit I take him for a short stroll around the garden, given him a bite to eat and then lots & lots of cuddles.

Well what do you expect when he has a face like that.

Mouse & Beau

Had a few days with these 2 while their owners traveled overseas for work and pleasure before the Christmas Break.

Up early each morning and late afternoon for an hours walk along the River Waveney and across the open fields that are positioned a stone throw away from their home.

Then in the evenings we snuggled up together on the sofa and watching a bit of TV.

Benji & Zita

The pleasure was all mine looking after Benji & Zita while their owners were away in the South of France for a few weeks.

Our journey began at the beginning of the year when I was asked to walk Benji twice a week so we had the opportunity to build a bond so he trusted me and felt safe and secure when his owners were away.

The first time I met Benji; as soon as I entered the room he immediately dashed under the table so he was out of reach; but with time, patience and a lot of treats he gradually built up the courage to come from under the table and eventually allow for his lead to be attached. I walked Benji twice a week for 6 weeks and in this time our trust for each other had grown incredibly so much so that I felt comfortable to walk him off the lead with excellent recall.

What exactly happened to Benji is unknown but he was rescued by a UK charity that worked in Romania and born in a public pound to parents who were street dogs and survived with limited human contact or socialisation. At 6 months old he was rescued and travelled to the UK in a van with other dogs and then adopted by a loving family but sadly it didn't work. He then went to a second family but it only lasted a week before being returned .
His new owners said when he arrived at their home he was scared of everything especially doorways and cars and it took a long time for Benji to build a bond with them all.

Luckily Benji owners did get the opportunity to go the France a couple of times this year and I have had the pleasure of House Sitting and walk both Benji & Zita while they have been away.

Meet Barney

With his fluffy sheepskin like coat.

Early morning walks this week as the sun rises for Barney and his new found friends Titch & Poppy. The three of them like peas in a pod after their first meeting. Not a bad word shed, exploring every area possible.
Finally a quick dip in the lake and a stroll home.

They are peas in a pod racing around on the dry soil that’s coated in crisp dry leaves until….
