Hurrah, they’re ready ❤️ Having been asked quite a lot recently if our gorgeous Christmas cards and 2026 Calendars are available yet, we got organised early😘
So here they are, beautifully designed and hand crafted as usual. The cards have just the right amount of Christmas Sparkle….perfect❤️

A little update and call out for a bit of help ❤️
Our lovely new donkeys are really settling in well. They’re getting ad lib hay which they are loving and getting through rather quickly, along with the lovely autumn grass that’s growing.
It’s been a warm welcome to France they’ve had but that is due to change soon. On the night that the temperature did drop, they were all very cold. This means that all their energy goes to keeping them warm rather than gaining kg.
So we ordered them all a rug each 🥰 We had to order special Donkey Rugs as we’ve found that none of the horse and pony rugs, no matter what size, fit donkeys. This has set us back €759.
So, along with another order of hay we could do with a bit of help please. Any donation gratefully received.

At HeeHaws we have just taken a very special delivery. 10 beautiful donkeys arrived here all the way from Israel…..yes that’s right Israel.
There is an amazing Organisation in Israel called Starting Over. They rescue many animals but especially donkeys. The donkeys have lived in extremely poor conditions, some with terrible wounds both physically and mentally as they were generally overworked and underfed.
Starting Over puts all the donkeys through a rehabilitation programme and then find homes for them in sanctuaries like ours so that they are safe from further trauma.
We think this is an incredible thing to do and when we saw what they had been through we just had to help.
These beautiful donkeys will spend some time here recovering from their mammoth journey and acclimatising to the very different weather we have here in France.
As you know, we managed to find fabulous homes for 5 of our rescue donkeys earlier on in the summer. Since then we have not only not had any donkeys in need reported to us, but we’ve had many enquiries from people looking to adopt donkeys.
Visits to the sanctuary and home checks carried out, we are in the most fortunate position to hopefully have 5*homes lined up already for 6 of these donkeys. So after their recovery period they will venture off to their forever homes where love and kindness awaits.
Hopefully we will be able to help out again in the not too distant future and take in some more needy donkeys.
