There’s nothing better for me than playing with the dogs. At the end of the day, they’re my little buddies and we like to have fun. This is Arlo’s particular favourite game and a great warm up for SAR training. Playing with the ball before the real hard work starts gives us an opportunity to stretch our legs, get acclimatised to a new location and get that nose revved up 🧡

We have been overwhelmed and amazed by yet again the local community spirit shown helping to find Poppy in Borehamwood. We had an amazing turnout of volunteers earlier in the week but we are still searching.

Trainee Search dog, Spud was awesome in today’s training session. Not all dogs are easy and this one is certainly cementing that in my mind but absolutely smashing it and progressing very nicely. Love this boy 🧡

Search Dog Stanley has been feeling a bit sorry for himself lately but after some TLC from the lovely Debra at Medivet Nine Lives he’s feeling much happier and back on his feet for more searches to come.

So lovely to have someone so caring and understanding in our corner as keeping our working dogs in tip-top condition is crucial so they’re ready to lend their noses to the job when called on.

Great to have my partner back into work! 🥰

Search Dog Harvey has been on holiday for the past few days after lots of difficult and perplexing searches the last few months.

This handsome boy has also been trying out the use of an Apple ‘AirTag’ which we’ve loved having!

We’ve had a busy weekend!

This weekend, I have been on my monthly Trailing Handler Course with British Mantrailing Academy with K9 Arlo for the next training module. An insightful theory day with assessment followed by two days of practical training.

Stanley and I then had a call out Saturday night to search for Tallulah the miniature Dachshund who went missing from her garden.

Despite the hours of grooming after our search, Stan had a great time, as always and was as determined as ever after some well deserved time off work.

Great news that Tallulah was found earlier today local to home in a neighbouring garden. My boys and I are homebound for a good sleep and a Sunday dinner!

Rosie, one of our Search Co-Ordinators and her K9 partners. Joining Rosie on search efforts are usually; Stanley, Tay or Haggis, who are all work using a dog’s unique scent to help establish a direction of travel and locate the missing dog.

Rosie and her black lab, Arlo, are currently in training and working towards final assessments for operational search and rescue purposes of missing people also.

What an afternoon!

Ruby, the Jack Russell, who has been missing since Saturday morning has been FOUND!

Huge thank you to everyone for keeping their eye out for this little one over the past few days, anyone who has reported a sighting and to the kind people at Thames Water for keeping her calm and phoning as soon as they spotted her.

Welcome home Ruby! ❤️

FOUND (TUES 12th OCT)

Ruby, the Jack Russell terrier went missing from Lucinda’s Woods Radlett, Saturday 10th October.

She has been spotted on the owners normal walking route near the Blackbirds area.

Please continue to be vigilant while out on your walks and keep an eye out. Just a reminder that she’s a very timid little dog normally so will be worried of anyone approaching her.
