With my little helpers having gone back to the UK I have had to cope with all the dogs on my own this morning.☹️ These include Hector, Bertie, Daisy, Luna and Rayco. 😄

It has been a busy few days but thankfully a bit quieter today on what is one the hottest days of the year so far🌞, Recent guest have included the following: Rex, Kasper, Odin, Rupert, Oakley, Rayko, Sarsky, Booboo, Rayko , Leo, Harri and Pepsie.😠 We are now fully booked until mid September and I have started taking bookings for Christmas

After a few comings and goings, time for a quick update. The last few days we welcomed back Sarchie, Booboo, Pepsie and Willow and said goodbye to Jet. The current guest list includes the following: Rayko, Pepsie, Willow, Sarchie ,Booboo, Herge and Mack. Although we are pretty much fully booked up until mid September, there is room in the Inn between 2nd to 8th August and the 12th to the 25th August.😃

On Thursday I finally had Fibre installed and of course, it happened to be the busiest day of the year so far. But the gang were impeccably behaved bearing in mind they were cooped up in my bedroom for around 3 hours apart from a couple of short excursions into garden . The house guests during the last week have included the following: Ghost, Ruby, Asha, Hector, Bertie , Harri, Shippy, Gaston, Louis and Herge. 🙂

House guests currently include newcomer Jed, a 10 yr old Collie X and regulars Harri and Thibaud. Things are due to get busier as of tomorrow. I was informed by the owners that Jed doesn't really play with other dogs. Clearly , he has never met Thibaud before. 😄

As we have had a few comings and goings, time for a quick update. On Thursday we welcomed newcomer Alf, a very well behaved Collie. We also had regulars Harri and Cody come and stay. A quiet few days until Saturday, then it all kicks off again ! 😃

Unfortunately I have some sad news to pass on . Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our dear old friend Gerry. He was very recently diagnosed with acute diabetes and a couple of days ago he developed a respiratory infection which made it difficult for him to breathe . I am not exactly sure how old Gerry was, but the vet believed he must have been around 15 to 16 years old. He belonged to customers of mine back in the UK and when I told them I was moving to France, they asked if I would consider adopting him. I did not hesistate for one minute and as far as I am concerned ,their loss was definitely my gain . R.I.P Grumpy Pants 💔

Having been struck down by COVID last week I am happy to say things have gradually returned back to normal. This week's guests have included the following: Newcomer Mack ( 9 year old labradoodle) who has settled in very well,as well as regulars Harri, Saskia, Rommy and Ollie. 😊

A quick update, primarily to welcome Minus (Chihuahua) a newcomer to k9homeandaway. He was rather scared and timid when he arrived and I guess this must have been the first time he came across a very large Belgium shepherd 🙂. He has settled in very well , as has Shippy who also arrived on the same day.
