We were lucky enough to go to the Mondial du Lion yesterday and watch some phenomenal cross-country at the world championship for 6 & 7 year olds. I'm having all the problems uploading the photos and videos 🙈 Facebook business pages seem to have been updated which is making it glitchier than ever! But I will persevere. I'm sorry I'm not a little taller for my height given the number of brollies - but here's French rider 🇫🇷 766 Nicolas TOUZAINT riding 7yo Gauguin du Busson down the drop back onto the racecourse. He's currently sitting in 1st place on his dressage score of 23.5. Caroline Harris & Harry Meade are currently in 5th & 6th places in the 7yo's respectively.
The course was absolutely fantastic, we walked it twice to make sure we didn't miss anything! The atmosphere was incredible, the commentators were brilliant (both in English & French) There was an incredible equestrian village with all sorts of goodies; the parking was so well organised with a free bus every 5 minutes. Despite the weather turning rather soggy in the afternoon we had the best time! The dogs were delighted with their day out and Slug was on the brink of signing autographs 😂 he was so famous and cool in his sunglasses 😎 he must have had more photos taken than anyone else there 😂 he loved all the attention! And my ability to pronounce "aveugle" (blind) in French definitely improved by the end of the day 😂
In the 6yo class the British 🇬🇧 are in the top three slots! 1st Mollie Summerland, 2nd Izzy Taylor & 3rd Kitty King! It's going to make for a very exciting day of Showjumping! If you want to follow the results here's the link 🔗
