Bark Lane will be closed from 20th July until 28th July whilst I take some annual leave.

Good morning all,

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather we've had the last few days.

Please can I ask that you avoid walking your dogs to the salon when we have high temperatures as this can cause your dog to become overheated. Please also ensure your car has cooled down before letting your dog get in🌡

If the salon becomes too warm I may have to reschedule appointments for the safety of the dogs. I may offer earlier or later appointments in the day when the temperature is cooler.

I will always put your dogs welfare first. If I see any signs of over heating, I will have to refuse the groom for the safety of your dog 🐶

A morning with Merlyn 🐶 🐾💙 How beautiful is he? 😍

Today was a first for Merlyn and a first for me. Merlyn had his first puppy groom and was the first Airedale I have groomed.

Merlyn had a number of desensitisation sessions leading up to his groom which really helped to get him used to the process.

Good morning,

Unfortunately I am still unable to take on any more clients at this time.

As a lone groomer, I would love to be able to help everyone but i just do not have the availability.

I am receiving a high number of messages and phone calls. My preferred contact Is text message or via my business account on Facebook. I will reply to these at end of the grooming day. It is not possible to ring every missed call back.

If I have not replied to a phone call or message, please accept my apology. Its not my intention to ignore you but the dogs in my care is number one priority.

Please note that when visiting Bark Lane is by appointment only. I'm unable to accept walk in appointments.

Bark lane has been open for 3 years today 🎉 In this time we have received a business award and raised over £3000 for charity which is thanks to you all ♥️

Fleas

Good morning all,

Please can you ensure your dogs are all up to date with their flea treatments before visiting the salon.

If a dog does attend the salon with fleas , I have to close the salon for 5 hours as a deep clean and defumigation will be required. I then have to cancel the remainder of my appointments for the day which has an impact on business.

I completely understand that you may not know they have fleas. In this instance I will finish grooming your dog but there will be an additional charge of £20 for the cost of the deep clean and defumigation.

The best way to avoid your dog having fleas is to keep them up to date with their flea treatments. If your dog is unable to have treatment for any reason please let me know.

If you are unsure if your dog has fleas please contact me and we can discuss moving the appointment to the last dog of the day to avoid disruption to business. Please note that any appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment, I will require the full fee for the grooming appointment.

I have just completed my canine health and welfare in the groom room course (see attached certificate)

This course helps with being able to identify health concerns, I will always feed back if I notice changes or find something unusual with your dog. You can then seek veterinary advice 🐾

I'm also in the process of renewing my canine first aid course which has to be completed every 3 years 🐾
