❗️Fixture Update ❗️

We come up against Bucksburn Thistle A.F.C for the first time this season as both teams look to earn themselves 3 points !

We saw bucksburn in the pre season and took a 5-3 win with us but this time they look to make sure that doesn’t happen again so the lads at moss must be prepared to go out and do the badge proud !

We hope to see another great sideline as we have in recent weeks for this big game that could help us retain our mid table spot !

After a rough start to the game and a few boys coming into the starting lineup for their first time, 20 mins is all it took before we managed to get our first goal.

We were all over threaded from start to finish with them coming close a few times, unfortunately they couldn’t tuck them away.

We finished at half time 4-0

Getting into the second half our assistant manager made some vital decisions to start creating more chances and so we did!

We ended up scoring 7 more but 1 goal topped them all off with a screamer from Dylan Clark ( no celebration was needed ).

We would like to thank Threaded FC for the game and we wish them all the best for the season !

Also big thanks to the big support who came to have a laugh and watch as the boys got the job done !

A week to go until our final game of the pre season against Threaded FC. so far our pre season consists of 5 wins, 2 draw and 2 losses.

We are looking to do monthly scratchys to help us get new equipment and possibly polos!

We will be doing the first one on the 31st of July and then every last day of the month for the foreseeable, we will be advertising them a week before in order to fill in all the teams for the end of the month!

£5 a go / winner takes £150 and the £50 will go to the club 👏🏼

We look forward to a wee 8 aside charity tournament hosted at the sports villiage this Sunday for a 10am start. 🕰️

The lads are keen to go and have a good laugh for a good cause before the season starts in 4 weeks time. 👀

❗️RESULT ❗️

4 on the bounce for Moss !!!

10 MINS - Mugiemoss went into the first half very strong against a very physical bucksburn side who looked like good competition and gave us a hard time chasing their good passing play but with a lovely flick on from D.Whyte he managed to send T.Clark through on goal to make it 1-0 to Moss.

20 MINS - After our first goal we got too confident on the ball and ended up losing it to bucksburn and they took advantage by winning a corner. From that they sent a lovely near post corner in which there player headed it low into the near post to make it 1-1.

25 MINS - Very quickly after all the boys heads dropped bar one and that was none only by our trickery J.Walker who ran through 3 players easily and thought he would have a ping and by surprise the keeper was caught out with the ball hitting the middle of the crossbar and in, very spectacular way to raise the lads heads to put us 2-1 up !

35 MINS - 10 mins after we scored our second goal our defence shut off and made very easy mistakes and didn’t take the surface into consideration but with a nice cross low into the box where the defence couldn’t clear, they managed to get that tap in to equalise yet again.

40 MINS - with some nice build up play from D.Clark who switched it out to the wing in order for our winger D.Whyte to take full advantage of the space he had and drove himself into the box to square it off to T.Clark for a nice simple two in to make it 3-2 !!!

HALF TIME

60 MINS - 2nd half started off very slow for ourselves after we made a few changes to our formation and line up. With the rain still chucking it down it left the ball sliding very quick, hard to read and difficult to control. Bucksburn managed to cope with these conditions very well and ended up sending a lovely through ball past our defensive line for their striker to slot it under out keeper and the score then went to 3-3.

70 MINS - All the lads were furious and with some inspiration from the words of our coaching team (D.Clark, M.Rowberry, M.Flanagan) and our captain (C.Hector) the boys fired up and got straight to work with a fantastic clearance from our centre back S.Thomson, T.Clark judged the bounce that the bucksburn defender couldn’t by controlling the ball and running through on goal to smash it bottom left to make it 4-3 !!!

85 MINS - mugiemoss kept control of the ball very well after our 4th goal but we weren’t finished, with good build up play on the right side our right back L.Forbes managed to win a throw in and with his long throw specialty he put it right on the head of D.Clark who flicked it on to M.Flanagan who scored a goal of the season contender with a Over head kick which left the keeper helpless but to watch it float in and that made it 5-3 with 5 minutes to play.

By the time we got kicked off for the last 5 we held onto the ball and played some nice passing and very proudly we came away with a very nerve racking win
