Woody is doing amazingly well on his journey, he can be reactive towards people.
Here we are outside a supermarket, where there's lots going on but as you can see in the video, he's happy and relaxed.
This has taken work and time to get there and its still a journey he's on.

PUPPY SOCIAL yesterday, pups growing in confidence, lots to explore, learning to have fun, without being over stimulated. Sniffing creates calmness, being calm means they can make good choices.

Puppy visit to Buddy, he's doing great, but is doing some puppy things, like jumping on people as he's so pleased to see them and mouthing.
So we worked on a couple of pattern games to help with this and finished off teaching him to search for his ball instead of chasing it and finished with a sausage tree!

WELL DONE RUBY!!
So proud of this girl! Met up with her and her family, she has never-ending Harvey before or Gizzy and only seen Yana at a distance. We went for a short walk with Harvey, then decided to bite the bullet and go for a group walk with Yana and Gizzy.
Ruby excelled herself and it was lovely to see her having fun.
The video is longer than usual but wanted you to see what can possibly be achieved by putting in the time and work.

Teenage time is tough, for human and dog, this is the time you can see behaviour coming out of what feels like now where.
Isa is at that stage, pulls on lead and super excited to see/meet other dogs, which they don't appreciate.
Starting in the home, teaching her to walk nicely, then not to be so excited . It's a journey which takes time and work.

Cooper, is a mixed breed overseas rescue.

Our first PUPPY SOCIAL went very well!
5 pups who didn't know each other had a great time exploring and playing.🐕🐕
Though it is fun watching puppies dash around, if they do this all the time, that's what they learn and will think this is how you greet all dogs. It's not, it's rude in canine culture to bowl into another dog.
Giving them things to explore builds calmness and confidence, gives them the chance to suss each other out!

I work in the real world with reactive dogs, it take time and commitment as it's emotions that drive the behaviour but change is possible as Samson has shown

When I first met Mabel, she was barking and lunging towards seeing other dogs.
This caused stress and anxiety to her human too. Walks were not enjoyable.
Teaching her human the skills she needed to support Mabel in these situations, Mabel began not to feel so stressed by these encounters and realise that dogs aren't that bad.
It doesn't happen over night and needs time and commitment.
