It's not your dog you hate, it's the situation, it's how it makes you feel. Anger, frustration, guilt, desperation, embarrassment and more that you can't explain. Why can't my dog just get on with other dogs??

These feelings affect you, taking your dog out starts to fill you with dread but they need to be exercised, so now you're in a decreasing circle, not knowing how to get out of it.

I know, I've been there.

It doesn't have to be like that, there is help. Things can be different.

Boost, who's a collie x lab is learning to be calm when outside. He's more collie than lab, so being aware of the environment can lead to being over threshold, collies like to control! Teaching him that it's OK to be calm.

Second part of Phoebe's session, here I introduced Yana, my helper dog, going over the same steps as with the stuffy dog. Phoebe did so well, I managed to move it on to some parrell walking and closing distance.
