Otis is now home back with his family after being missing since Thursday afternoon and now under house arrest. 😂
We love a super happy ending!
Brilliant team effort everyone involved. 👏
Lost Dog Trapping Team, Aberdeenshire Drone Services, Aberdeen Air Traffic Control at Aberdeen Airport, all Otis’s Mum & Dads friends, their family members, all the dog walkers who kept a look out along with others who had a wander trying to have a sighting, Lost and Found Pets Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, Sparrows Training Centre staff Hannah, Zoenta, Andy and Trevor.
Even the Scottish Christmas Trees at the Tyrebagger kindly offered the search team their office overnights to warm up, grab a cuppa and have a loo to go to in between searching. 🌲🌲🌲

Santa Paws! Aberdeen’s First ‘Doggo Grotto’ Opening in December
This year, it’s not just kids who can meet Santa – furry friends can too with a pooch-friendly grotto takeover!

We Too! are inviting pups, pooches, and their people to meet Santa this festive season with the launch of the ‘Santa Paws’ Grotto takeover.
‘Santa Paws’, taking place within the Grotto at Codona’s on Aberdeen’s Beach Boulevard, promises to be a unique and tail-wagging Christmas experience designed especially for dogs and their owners where well-behaved dogs of all shapes and sizes can meet Santa and capture a memorable photo with the jolly man in red.
Canine visitors to the Santa Paws Grotto will not only meet Santa but will also trot home with a delightful treat bag filled with goodies approved by Dodgem the Dog, We Too!’s doggie Ninja.
‘Santa Paws’, a We Too! takeover of the Grotto at Codona’s will open for one day only on Thursday, December 5th from 5.00pm until 7.00pm, with strictly limited tickets available on Ticket Source, and the charity’s social channels, from midday this Friday, November 1st.
Tickets are priced at £6.99 per pooch with a maximum of two dogs per booking. Proceeds from the first-of-its-kind event will help We Too! continue to empower parents and carers of children with disabilities by providing, guiding, and promoting inclusive events and activities.
Phionna McInnes, Chief Ninja at We Too!, said: "Our tails are wagging to partner with Codona's to bring the Santa Paws Grotto to life. This event is a fantastic way to celebrate the festive season with our four-legged friends while supporting the work of We Too!. We can't wait to see the joy on the faces of both dogs and their owners as they meet Santa and create unforgettable memories."
We Too! Ninjas alongside Codona’s Grotto Elves will be on hand during the event to ensure a relaxed, festive, and all-around pawsome experience for all visitors. Bookings during the last half hour; 6.30pm until 7.00pm are available as ‘Relaxed’ Santa Paws, for any anxious doggie and their people.
Gillian Gallan, General Manager and Chief Elf at Codona's, commented: "Hosting We Too! to create Aberdeen's first 'Doggo Grotto' is an exciting opportunity for us at Codona's. We always strive to offer innovative and inclusive experiences for our visitors, and partnering with We Too! allows us to do just that. We look forward to welcoming all the pups and their families for a truly magical Christmas event."
Whether you're a proud dog parent or looking for the perfect gift for a dog-loving friend, this event is sure to be a tail-wagging hit.

If you find a "dead" hedgehog during the cold months, do not bury it, do not throw it in the trash...
No one wants to see a dead animal in their garden or road, but it could be a hedgehog hibernating from November to March.
They usually dig holes to stay safe, but we have less green areas, bushes or wooded areas these days and it’s becoming harder to find a safe place to spend the winter sleeping.

Some may come into your gardens seeking safety and warmth to hibernate, some are so exhausted from looking that they end up sleeping in various strange places like roadside streets or even on pavements.

When they are in hibernation, their heart rate and general body functioning slow down considerably, as a way of saving energy that can confuse a person that the hedgehog is dead.

Just in case you see a stationary hedgehog, make sure it is in a safe and warm place and that it can last five months.

If you find a hedgehog in your garden or somewhere on the street, make a hole in a cardboard box and in a dry, safe and quiet place so it can spend the cold months there.

Hedgehogs are an endangered species, they are completely harmless and very important in our ecosystem. They eat beetles, snails, frogs, lizards, snakes, including poisonous.

They also destroy mice nests.

They are not afraid of bees or wasps. The hedgehog can easily destroy a hornet's nest and eat its inhabitants by ignoring their bites.

Scientists have long noticed the immunity of hedgehogs to strong poisons, including bites from insects. This antidote phenomenon is not yet known to scientists.

Be aware when you see a hedgehog in the cold months. It costs nothing to help such a fragile wee thing.

Let's be kind to animals!
