Good Morning.
I‘m sorry to say that it is that time again and something I have been trying to avoid doing. Yes, the dreaded Price Increase.

I have been trying to avoid putting our prices up but the rising costs, especially electricity are becoming unmanageable and not viable anymore. In order to continue the standard of care we provide I have no choice.

I would be devastated to close the kennels so I am taking the option of putting up our prices.

From 1st April, 2024 prices will be as follows:

Single Kennel - £29
Double Kennel - £39
Triple Kennel - £47 (unchanged)
Each additional dog after that will be £8 (unchanged)

Day Care (which has not increased for 4 years) will rise to £20 for a single dog and £10 for each additional dog.

I hate doing this but this is the only way we can continue to keep Fairways open. I hope everyone understands that this is not something I wanted to do but I will not compromise on the care we give to all our guests and this is the only way I continue to provide the level of service you expect from us.

Morning folks, since quite a few people have been phoning to ask in advance, the roads around us are generally fine with care if you drive to the conditions. There are some deep-ish snow drifts on our drive this morning which will be cleared in the next wee while. Stay safe 😀❄️🐾

We loved having Teddy in on his mum and dads wedding weekend. Highly recommend Beccas wedding services if you want your furry friend to join in on your wedding day! 🐶🐾💍

Police say if you see a dog locked in a car in case of high heat, take a picture of the dog and the car, call the police, wait 5 minutes and break the car window. This way you will not be charged with criminal damage and will give evidence to the police to take the dog owners to court.
Can anyone copy and paste this information to prevent this atrocity from happening?

On behalf of the Fairways Pet Haven team we want to send our condolences to Paul’s husband, family, dogs and friends. He will be missed and was a wonderful human being. RIP Paul😢

Battersea joins the nation in mourning the loss of Paul O’Grady - an entertainment legend and much-loved Ambassador to our charity. We’d like to extend our deepest sympathies to Paul’s family and friends. To millions Paul O’Grady is the popular TV and radio presenter and comedian who lit up their screens with his razor-sharp humour and perpetual generosity and warmth. Battersea will forever remember Paul as a devoted animal lover with the biggest heart, who fell in love with every dog he met at our centres. Paul will always be associated with Battersea, and we are truly saddened to have lost such a true friend and huge part of our charity.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ

I have spent the last 12 years building Fairways Pet Haven into the business it is today. It has been my pride and joy and I have loved every minute of it. After much soul searching and after knee surgery at the end of last year I have decided that the time is now right to move on to new adventures and allow somebody else to take Fairways forward.

We will be looking to sell Fairways as a going concern to a new owner with the same passion and commitment I have given to it. We envisage that it might take some time to find the correct new owner so I am likely to be around for some time to come.
In the meantime we shall be continuing our business as normal and will of course keep you updated.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our two and four legged friends who have supported Fairways over the years.

FPH K9 Grooming will not be included in the sale so I look forward to still seeing my grooming friends once we find a new home for the groom room.

REMINDER - KENNEL COUGH VACCINE

Can I just remind everyone that the kennel cough vaccine is a live vaccine and therefore your dog is contagious for a period of time.

Because of this we cannot accept your dog into the kennels if the vaccine has been given any less than 3 weeks prior to coming to the kennels. The safety of the dogs in our care are our priority and we cannot take the risk of bringing kennel cough into the kennels.

This is part of Fairways Terms and Conditions which is both on our website and displayed in the kennel office.

Morning, I hope everyone is surviving this cold weather

If you are planning on dropping off or picking up today please call first.

At the moment our road is inaccessible by car due to drifting snow. We are trying to clear it but we do not know how long it will take.

We apologise for any inconvenience

Price increase

I am sure everyone is aware of the current economic crisis. I have been trying to figure out a way to keep the kennels running and it has come down to two options. I either put the prices up or I close the doors permanently.
