Cuinnegan Kilronane Lass (Daisy)

Approx 14.2hh 9yr old grey connemara mare by Castle Gizmo. Daisy is a pony with a phenomenal temperament & kind heart. She is a true top class pony club pony who has been mainly ridden by children in all phases including being part of PC interbranch PC90 horse trials teams qualifying for PC National Championships. She has also proven she can step up to be a competitive event pony, being placed in both her BE events with myself, leading the dressage (in the 20s) at the first event and going DC round her first BE90 and finishing in the top 8 at the 2nd. She also safely introduced her teenage jockey to BE taking him round his first BE80 and BE90! Her flatwork is improving and she is more than capable of regular sub 30 (70%+) tests. She has jumped upto 1.10 at home and would easily jump BE100 and 1m SJ classes. To hack she is an absolute dream, marches on and will hack anywhere alone or in company. An angel to take out in lorry, just stands, waits and does her job when needed, regularly gives my 5yr old a pony ride afterwards! Good to clip, load and shoe (can be fidgety with hind legs) and full history known. Lives in or out and easily settles when away from home etc. Not mareish at all - other than pulling a face when tacking up. Daisy is a parents & trainers dream, so easy to work with. Currently based with me and open to any inspection, trainer & vetting. Excellent trial facilities. Five Figures.

It was an absolute joy to be back out competing at the weekend!

Myself & Jerdento Jazzbreaker made our BD debut as a combination a successful one - I can't wait to see where this partnership goes! He performed an obedient, rhythmic test for 68.25% with a bit more to come in the suppleness & throughness work. Thanks to his lovely owners for trusting me with him. 🤩🥰

I have a FANTASTIC team of horses and owners and I can honestly say I've never been more excited about things to come! 💙

Lots of fun outings planned for November with some dressage & jumping outings!

I'm delighted to be incredibly busy work wise with producing my beloved connemaras, event horses, warmbloods, schooling cobs, rehabbing ex racers, managing golden oldies, backing ponies, riding school coaching, sales preparation, young horse groundwork, clipping makeovers & anything inbetween!!! 🤣🐴🐎

I'm booked for most of November so have limited availability to the end of the year but please do get in touch if I can be of any assistance. January & February also starting to book up. I'm well overdue some CPD so will be starting to knuckle down towards my next stage of qualifications towards achieving my BHS Stage 4 Coach (BHSII).

Approx 15.2hh stunning dark Bay warmblood mare, 17yrs young and a lovely girl to ride!
She has the best of breeding (shown below) and has previously competed to 1.20+ level ShowJumping. I think someone could have serious amounts of fun with her dressage, RC, hacking, she has so much more to give! More recently she has been ridden by a 12 year old doing a little bit of everything. Although she will quite happily jump and do poles lessons for fun we are looking for more of an all round home for her- I personally think she would smash it at BD, wait until you see her medium trot! I can also see her doing well in ridden showing & VHS classes. She does have some medical history and has been seen to crib at feed times. Very sensibly £ to reflect this and to encourage the best home possible. Fit, clipped and ready to go. Will live in or out.

The kindest, most straightforward, trainable pony who has been a joy to work with over the past few years. Everyone loves him - he will turn his hoof to anything with a big smile on his face! Approx 14.1/2hh 6yrs grey show quality EXCEPTIONALLY PRETTY registered Highland pony mare by Chapehill Earl. Straight moving, nicely forward girl who is happy to turn her hoof to anything. Schooling & basic lateral work established showing lovely paces and serious potential for BD, native classes or the show ring. Loves her polework and recently introduced to jumping. Has hacked alone & in traffic on and off road and will happily go in front. Good to load, handle, bath, shoe etc and not spooky or silly in new/different environments. This pony is 100% fun - I love riding her and so does everyone else that sits on her! Has been ridden by a variety of riders over the past fortnight and has always been willing and obedient. Lives out 24/7 in herd.

Superb breeding so could be used as broodmare in future if thats of interest. Full history known and open to any inspection or vetting. Viewings from next week, many more videos available. *Flew through vetting & found a super new horsey family home*

Approx 14.1/2hh 4yr old traditional cob gelding. He is backed and going well under saddle, hacked and started jumping. Showing LOVELY PACES with an uphill canter that would look super in the whiteboards! Ridden by all the older kids on the yard to do poles lessons etc. Good to handle, shoe, bath etc and no known vices or medical history.

Ready to go on and continue his education. I think he would make a super dressage or pony club cob - I also think he would look super all clipped out but have left feather so owner has choice and could show in traditional/CHAPS classes. Only for sale on behalf of owner as no permanent jockey for him and owner moved abroad.

He is a super project to produce on as is forward & trainable but please no novices or 1st time owners as he is not a kick along cob and still a baby at 4 so will still need his education under saddle to continue. Could be further produced for new owner at present yard if desired. Open to vetting and any coach/instructor inspection.

Another connie, another BE debut! 💙👌🐎🦄

This time is was MENLO CASPERS turn at Forgandenny!

A consistent, obedient dressage test for 29.8 which left him in the top 3! The dressage judge only posted a few sub 30s in our section.

A lovely SJ round where Casper felt very perky & rideable - but there were many poley uprights which are sort of his nemesis so we had 1 unlucky rail but still leaving us in a good position for the XC!

XC - this is his favourite, his eyes light up and he grows an extra hand in the XC warm up! He stormed round feeling very grown up, just a very unusual last minute glance off the house after the water which he popped no bother 2nd time (think the water rattled him a bit and his brain took a minute to catch up!) but we still whizzed home well under the time! So we know he has the want, ability and pace, just needing some more runs to build experience and confidence further in the big BE environment. He can be a little internal when unsure hence we have really taken our time at every stage of production to consolidate learnings before moving onto the next phase of things.

He recovered really well and cantered down the field to tell all his mates about his big day out when he got home!

Sorry its been like forever since I've done a business update! But on the flip side I'm grateful it's because I'm so busy with work!

The event season has finally kicked off up here in the North (although nobody seems to have told the weather its June!)
I've had the absolute pleasure of further producing Cuinnegan Kilronane Lass (DAISY) for her owners for the past few months, turning her into an event pony. She has taken to it rather tremendously being placed in both BE events we have entered. In her debut BE event she lead the dressage on 29 and stormed round the XC (a little too fast!) for 5th place in the BE80 at Brechin(Kirriemuir). After jumping DC in the BRC80HT at the Scottish RC champs with her teenage jockey Alex, we decided to step her up to BE90 and WOW did she impress with a DC & 8th place in the BE90 at Hopetoun! A proper class connemara mare!

MENLO CASPER has been prepping for his BE debut and produced a fabulous DC for 2nd in the 80 class at Tillyoch last week. He will run in a few WH classes and aim for Forgandenny BE80 - he feels very ready!

WHITETHORN BUD is a 14.1 5yr old connemara gelding just backed a few months ago and has been learning about flatwork, hacking & jumping whilst being groomed and childproofed by Sienna! Next up for him is some XC schooling and some training shows. He is showing an incredible talent over a fence so I have a feeling he may need to find a junior who he can take to the top BS but for now I'm continuing to produce him slowly with a long term competition career in mind.

All the rest of the lovely connemaras and horses in production, along with my lovely clients are coming on great and smashing their goals for the year.
Special mention to Ros Mair & the lovely EDEN JERRY who went DC at their first one day event and U18 rider Amy McArthur & KILEEN PRINCESS who went DC & placed 2nd at Tillyoch SJ - their 2nd ever show! I've had the pleasure of helping produce these young horses and their jockeys over the past few months and both have transformed into exciting competitive partnerships for the future.

I have 2 new exciting arrivals this week, SHOCK - NOT CONNEMARAS! 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️😱

On the coaching front KLM Eventing & Coaching is keeping me busy at my base Easter Mains Livery Yard and at STRATHORN FARM STABLES aswell as freelance. At the moment both my teaching & schooling/producing is full until end August but I am holding a waitlist for cancellations and may have some extra availability during the school holidays.

Looking forward to seeing some sunshine after a long winter and maybe...just maybe.. getting some XC training on grass organised!
Dates for May will be out soon and will include 'introduction to XC for all' and 'BE80/90 Prep'

I will be organising a BHS Stage 1 Riding training day which can include sign off for the exam so anyone interested please get in touch

I have 1 space coming available end May for schooling/production/competition but am otherwise full and taking bookings for June/July/August.

April & May evening & weekend teaching is now fully booked but I'm currently holding a wait list for after school/evening training so please get in touch if you want to be added. Any cancellations will be offered to wait list first and then posted here.

Lastly, last year I decided to focus a bit more on my passion for producing ponies, connemara ponies in particular 🦄 Its something I have always done and loved so here is my newest young pony in production, Buddy 🦄💙 He is a performance bred connemara gelding with the loveliest of natures, floaty paces and very neat technique over a fence so an exciting boy for the future!
