Hi clients. As we are now nearing the end of the year I will open my next year diary to allow me to book clients who are on the monthly payment plan. Please note that as of 1st Jan 2025 there will be a price increase of £3 for small dogs £5 for medium to large dogs.

Teeth cleaning and blueberry facial will remain at the new price of £7.

I appreciate no one likes an increase in costs however as business costs rise year on year these costs do need to be passed on to allow us to stay open and provide excellent service.

If you would like to remain on monthly plan please let me know and I will have your new dates across to you within the next month.

We still have a few spaces available for training dogs requiring haircuts, looking for a variety of breeds, small to medium well behaved friendly dogs in a decent coat condition.

‼️The groom will be done by a trainee looking to get more experience.

‼️Average cost for a groom is around £35 on a small dog i.e. Lhasa / Shihtzu etc. Approx 25% discount from current salon prices

I will be overseeing the groom but will make minimal corrections to the trim so please be aware that it will mostly be completed by the trainee.

Scarlet is doing super well on her grooming course, looks like she may be a natural at it, only day 3 and she's producing grooms like these, clever girl 🥰

We still have a couple slots left for training grooms if anyone interested. These are at a reduced rate while she is practicing. No short coated dogs, specifically dogs that require trims. Message the page if your interested in a quote.

Not a post I like to put up but I've had 5 no shows this week alone, this is completely unacceptable, and no small business can survive these types of losses. When you are given your appt this is followed by a reminder 3 days before appt is due. There really is no excuse to then not turn up,

Our policy is 48 hours notice to change or cancel an appt, I'm very accommodating and always try to help if I can, but I need to remind you the policy is if you do not show up for your appt then the groom price must be paid in full.

This is my only income, and I have a member of staff also to take Into consideration.

The salon cannot run efficiently with so many no shows.

I appreciate your support on this.

Morning all. Just a reminder that the salon will be closed this weekend for a few weeks 😎

I'm currently fully booked until 25th September so unable to move any appts about just now.

First visit to the salon for little labradoodle Murphy, such a handsome well behaved boy ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Only 12 weeks old and he had a warm bath in puppy shampoo, a gentle blow-dry, nail and pad trim, eye trim, hygiene trim and finishing off with a wee tidy up around his cute little paws, he looks beautiful 😍

Get your pups started early in the grooming process, leaving it til the adult coat starts coming in really is to late.

Please check your dogs frequently. I am having to remove ticks most days, and I don't charge, some groomers charge £5 per tick.. but I really don't like doing it, . they really freak me out 🫣

From a local gardener:

This tick has been on display for us to show people for a while. After months in a sealed container without any additional feeding, she laid eggs. This demonstrates how long a tick can remain dormant and how many eggs one female can lay. Remember, ticks become active again in the fall, so continue with preventive measures.

If you encounter a small pile of jelly-like balls in your garden, act immediately! These are tick eggs and they're set to hatch soon.

Either set them on fire or destroy them by soaking in isopropyl alcohol. Be sure to wear gloves if you handle the nest, as it contains hundreds of tick eggs that will hatch in a few weeks. I believe it's important to share this post because tick bites can be dangerous.

Stay safe and informed to protect yourself and your garden from these tiny but dangerous creatures!

Poor Boost has had a little accident. Had a wee run at haddo and ran in to some barbed wire or something sticking out the ground. Came back crawling through the grass and pouring of blood 🥺 so what looks like a little cut has ended up with 2 vet visits so far more to follow, Lots of pain relief and antibiotics. The cut was deeper than it looks and right on the joint.. A massive cone on his head and very little sleep for anyone in the house these last few days 😴 he can't fit Into his crate at bed time so we are all sleeping in various areas of the house to keep him safe 🤦‍♀️🤣

The worst of all though is no walks at all for god knows how long.. and anyone with a working line collie x lab knows how difficult this is keeping a 9 month old entertained. So any ideas of indoor training games that doesn't involve a stupid amount of food they would be super welcome.

If I'm looking tired at work this is the reason why 😎😎
