👀Why foster? 👀

Because you get to say such things as “Matilda why is your head on a rock?” - please see photo for tonight’s exact conversation!

In those first few hours and days you get to say “Stop wagging your tail at the other dog, that’s your own reflection in the window/cooker/mirror/tv you daftie.”

In that first week you can say “it’s ok you can get on the sofa” and a few weeks later regret it completely as they breathe into your dinner 😂

Sometimes that first night can either be broken sleep for all or it can have a soundtrack of a heavily snoozing hound as it discovers home comforts. Either way you have the satisfaction of knowing that hound is one step closer to finding its forever home 🥰

Fostering - you don’t really know what you’ll get when they arrive but you do know their will be more milestones than you can count, genuine fun as they discover everything for the first time and a super smiley family the day they get to adopt them.

Matilda the wonder hound is currently having her season 🙃 and ensuring her foster pops Pete is learning far more than he wanted to about women’s problems but you can follow her at The Groo for You.

GAGAH is crying out for for foster homes at the moment. We need you! Please share this far and why and get in touch here if you’d like to have a chat.

GAGAH cover all the vet bills and food and are there to support you.

Because we don’t always know much about the dogs before they arrive, we can’t normally use homes with young children or other breeds of dog and especially no cats I’m afraid for fostering. But please please get in touch if you’d like a chat.

Very sad, 🐾 are crossed 🤞

Quick update: He is not currently available to adopt. We need to see what the vet says first and what issues may need addressed before we can even think about starting the process.
So our old lab hasn't been claimed.
He's been under veterinary supervision this past week and is up to the vets today for them to carry out some tests etc.
Please keep your fingers crossed for a positive outcome for this amazing lad. 🤞🏻
We know Ashgrove Veterinary Centre will take the best care of him.
Will update when we know more folks 🤞🏻
