Welcome BIG BETSY ❤️ who has arrived with us from Police kennels today 🚓🚨

Betsy has done nothing wrong at all - yet she nearly lost her life 💔 she is not a banned breed - her owners just simply didn’t want her back 😓 … She was even literally in the van on her way home not once, but TWICE… and both times her homecoming was cancelled, and she had to go back to Police kennels 😩

Because the kennels are totally full, Betsy was then facing imminent euthanasia 💔 (please note: this is NOT the Police/kennel staff’s fault - they really do want to save the dogs who can leave for rehoming, which is why they contact rescues such as ourselves for help)

Betsy was skin and bones when she first went into kennels, and was nervous, so we think in many ways, she had a lucky ‘escape’ (just!!!) ❤️ So today is the start of better things to come for big Betsy ❤️

She has already shown us that she is a larger than life character … big, daft, playful, silly and clearly thinks she’s a little dog judging on the size toy she’s chosen as her fave and the tiny bed she took it to 😂🤏❤️

We’d really appreciate it if you could show Betsy ALL the love - big dogs need people with big hearts - and Betsy has LOTS of love to give ❤️🫶❤️

🚨 URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED 🚨

We are looking for an experienced foster placement for Miska the 2-year-old Siberian Husky.

He is looking for a placement without other pets or children. Miska is collar shy boy and has bitten due to this.

Miska has played with a female dog that visits the home but is untested with living with another dog on a permanent basis so will need a placement that can separate if needed.

He is nervous having his harness put on but relaxes once out on walks.

Mishka can be a boisterous young boy who will need boundaries and a routine. He LOVES attention and can jump up when greeting people. He can be left for short periods but does howl when left.

If you can help foster Miska and would like to know more information on joining our voluntary team please get in touch

The famous five (the last of the 19 Chihuahuas) still looking for their special humans to find them.
Very broken spirited due to a fearful neglected past that has left them so traumatised and wary of people.
All are very worthwhile and deserve their Hapoy Ever Afters but need ‘niche’ homes that will be able to manage their personalities and see how they build their confidence
Support will be ongoing from us
They need quiet, local homes with experience of traumatised dogs, a safe secure set up and an adopter who can be mindful of their past but help heal their demons going forward to build them up and see them become devoted little friends
Previous adopters of their siblings are willing to share their experiences and give tips to help new adopters too

We need a foster home ASAP please.
A casualty of the bonfire/firework season, he has now done his time in the pound...currently at Manor kennels in Ossett.
At least he was safe there.

People are asking, is he housetrained? Is he good with other dogs? Can he be left? Is he good with cats?
The answer is we don't know. He is a big black greyhound boy who has been dumped, done his time in the pound and now needs a foster home. Sadly they don't come with any history.
