TEARJERKER, URGENT END OF LIFE FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR SUKI
I have been sharing Suki asking for a home for her for a few years, now it's an end of life home she needs. Please share, don't let her die in kennels 💔💔💔
Palliative care for Suki 🚨
Suki is the most wonderful 12-year-old Akita. She has been living with a tumour in her brain for coming up to two years now, and today we received the devastating news that she now also has a tumour on her spleen. This diagnosis means that Suki will likely not be with us for any longer than 18 months, and the vet has advised us that there is a chance her condition could deteriorate much sooner 😔
We are desperate to find her an end-of-life foster care arrangement so that she can live out her final days/months in comfort and peace 🏡
Suki is such an endearing and loveable personality, and she has a treasured place in the hearts of all her friends here at Freshfields. Suki does have her own room here at the rescue, but life here at the moment just isn't the full and enriching existence that she deserves to be living in her older age 🌳
We are ideally looking to find an experienced dog owner who can be mindful to give Suki the time and space she needs to settle and to feel comfortable in a new environment. Suki is really a lady with simple pleasures: she loves to lie around and relax, she loves her food, and she enjoys a little trot about when the weather is nice (nothing too physically demanding) 💜
Can you be the person to step up for Suki in her time of need, and finally end her search for her forever home? 🐕
If so, then please get in touch with our kennels team at [email protected]. They will be extremely eager to assist you through the process of setting up a fostering arrangement, and more than happy to answer any queries or questions you might have 🙂
And even if you aren't in a position to re-home Suki yourself, we would really appreciate it if you could share this post to maximise our chances of finding her a home before her time runs out... ❤
You can also find a bit more information about Suki on our website here: https://www.freshfields.org.uk/animals/suki/ 🖥
Please share wherever you are so someone that can help sees this. Please think about fostering or giving a dog a forever home, no dog should spend years in a shelter only to die there.
