💙Emergency Foster Appeal for Max💙

Every year, countless older dogs end up in rescue through no fault of their own. Max is one such dog. A sweet, older boy who has already stolen the hearts of everyone he meets.

Now, he urgently needs your help to enjoy the comfort and care he deserves in his golden years.

Max’s story is a poignant reminder of how quickly life can change. His devoted owner recently fell seriously ill. With heavy hearts, they made the difficult decision to entrust Max to our care.

While Max’s spirit is full of sweetness, his body is showing signs of age. Our vet team has confirmed that he urgently requires: A large dental procedure, blood tests, and ongoing pain relief to ease his stiffness and discomfort.

This lovely boy is also older than we first thought and estimated to be over 10 years old.
Making gentle care, comfort, and security more important than ever.

💙How You Can Help

A Caring Foster Home – Somewhere quiet and loving where he can rest his paws, and enjoy some home comforts whilst he starts his medication, and recovers from his upcoming dental procedure.

Donate towards his veterinary care – The cost of his dental, blood work, and ongoing pain management will be significant. Every penny donated will go directly to making Max more comfortable and helping him enjoy life again.

If you can foster or donate to help Max, please get in touch today: https://cotswoldsdogsandcatshome.org.uk/emergency-foster-appeal-for-max/

Dot is a rough coated terrier around 18 months old, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and has a clean bill of health. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Dot came to us from the stray pound so we have no history on her background but since being with us in foster we have found her to be an absolute delight and she will male a great addition to a terrier savvy home.

Dot is very much a typical terrier in so many ways, she is tenacious, lively, strong willed but very sweet and loving too. She has been great with the other small dogs in her foster home and loves to play, we suspect her background involves being around lots of other dogs and we are therefore seeking a home where there is at least one other young, playful, neutered resident canine companion for her to be friends with.

Dot possessed that naturally strong prey drive around cats and small furry animals so can absolutely not be rehomed with them, she also proved to be a bit of a jumper and escape artist on arrival so will need to have a VERY secure garden with a minimum of 6ft fencing with nothing to climb on.

She has a very sweet, loving nature and loves to jump onto your lap for a cuddle and a fuss, she does have a slightly timid side to her too where we think she may have possibly not been treated so kindly as some point in her life but gentle talk and a treat wins the day with her.

Dot loves playing with toys, especially a ball and will play fetch for as long as you can keep up with her :) She is an energetic, lively young dog and will need owners who are able and willing to provide her with the right level of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy, healthy and fit. She will need lengthy daily walks, we dont know what her recall is like but a long line would seem the best idea for her because if she saw a rabbit she would be off!

Dot has been generally good in the house, she is house trained, sleeps quietly downstairs with the other dogs at night, travels ok in the car, is fine being left for a few hours and was great with the vet. She is eating well and has no issues with food or toys around people or other dogs.

We are seeking a home with another young neutered resident dog to play with, no cats or small furries but she could live with sensible dog savvy children aged 6yrs and over.

Being fostered in Swadlincote, Derbys but can be rehomed further afield subject to home check and adoption donation of £300

If you can offer this gorgeous little girl the terrier savvy home she needs please email us telling us all about your home offer including FULL address and contact number to [email protected]

Please keep sharing little pup Casper, his siblings now have adoption offers, Casper is the last pup still in need of a home.

Meet Casper. Born on 1st July, this partially sighted Lurcher pup is affectionate, clever and learning so quickly! Currently c.5kg, when fully grown this big softy will be a tall, leggy chap. He is fostered in Essex.

Casper is Max’s brother. Unlike Max he does not appear to have any problems hearing. His long sight is compromised, but his nearer sight is certainly good enough to chase a ball or a feather! Casper, like Max, has no idea he has any disability - nothing holds him back!

Casper is clearly a very clever pup. After only three weeks in foster, he has nearly mastered housetraining and appears very quick and eager to learn. He seems to want to respond to his fosterer and is often looking to her for signals and routines to pick up. We think he will be easy to train and eager to please (not to mention the fact that he’s very food orientated!)

Casper will need further input on sleep training. Currently Casper cries at night if he is separated from his fosterer. Crate training is being implemented but is not currently fully established; we think it would be beneficial for Casper. He likes his crate and sleeps in there voluntarily (currently with the door open).

Adopters will also need to continue Casper's training around separation anxiety (gradually increasing the time that he is left alone). Currently he cries when left alone for short periods during the day (but is not distressed on return.) We think he would be ok if left alone with other dogs.

Casper is active and energised; adores playing - either with his toys or with one of the other dogs with whom he lives. We would recommend an active household for Casper, for those lovely long legs and puppy energy.

An affectionate little chap, when he’s tired himself out Casper likes to curl up on his fosterers lap. He likes being close to his humans and loves attention. Could anyone resist those gorgeous eye-markings?!

Casper lives with three other dogs; a grumpy older chihuahua who isn’t keen on him, an older chap who won’t play and a younger terrier type with whom he loves a good run around. Casper would prefer to live with other dogs, but they must be prepared to put up with pup antics and hopefully give him some playtime input.

As a sighthound we would not recommend Casper living with cats or small furries.

Casper will be suitable for families, but because of his puppyish enjoyment of mouthing, we would suggest teenagers and up.

Casper’s adopters must be ready to put in place all the usual puppy training alongside the experience of all of the frenetic joy!

Please share to help Oscar and Lola find a home together

Hello! We're Oscar and Lola, a loveable pair of Labradors looking for our perfect home together. Do you have room in your home and heart for us? 🌟

I'm Oscar, the chocolate, bouncy and playful one! I'm 6-years-old and I absolutely LOVE to run, play and seek adventure at every opportunity.
My sister Lola, is a year younger, and known as the cuddle queen! Nothing makes her happier than snuggling up next to her favourite humans on a cosy sofa. Together, we're the perfect mix of love and excitement. 💚

We're such a bonded pair and have lived our whole lives together. We'd love to find our dream home with a secure garden to play and relax, and we could happily live with children over 11+ if we can become best pals first. Once we're settled, we can be comfortably left for up to 4 hours, we'll just snooze the hours away together. 🐶

We're sure that we can bring endless happy memories to our perfect new family. So, what do you say? Apply to adopt us through our profile in the comments below, and let's become the best of friends!

Love Oscar and Lola xx

We’ve taken Pumpkin home to HYPS HQ for tonight to keep a very close eye on her, and her movements 💩

This is a very short term measure as she has to be kept seperate from the other dogs… but we CANNOT put her in a kennel

So we’re asking for a miracle gold dust FOSTER HOME 🙏🏻🎃🙏🏻 she DESPERATELY needs a pet free, child free (she’s a nervous girl who jumps easily, so needs a quiet environment) who have a private, secure garden that is as flat as possible/has few steps … her fosterer will need to have the strength to carry a 21kg chonky Pumpkin to a car/lift her into a bath etc etc 🎃

Pumpkin is NOT a Staffy - she is much more Bulldog like in personality and needs 🎃 she CANNOT go for long walks (or even little potters right now) …. She IS the most amazing, cuddly, cheeky, hilarious little snuffle piggy who just wants company, love and some toys to play with (we can provide the toys 😁)

Can you be Pumpkin's special someone? 🙏 This girl deserves her miracle ✨️🎃
