❗ We’re hoping to identify two people who were seen in Coed y Caerau Lane on Thursday 1 August on the same afternoon as the last confirmed sighting of Marcus Barter and may have information to assist our enquiries.

1️⃣ The first person is a man who was wearing an orange hat, light blue polo shirt, dark blue trousers and white shoes. He was captured on CCTV from a property on Old Roman Road.

2️⃣ The second person, who we unfortunately don’t have a photo of, is a white woman, believed to be in her late 50s or early 60s, who is around 5’ 7” tall with shoulder length bobbed hair.

ℹ️ She was wearing a long-sleeved navy top and loose long trousers and was walking in the direction of the A48; she also was provided water from residents on Coed y Caerau Lane.

❗ We don't believe that these two people were together but we think that they were both in Coed y Caerau Lane between 3.30pm and 4pm on 1 August.

It's unacceptable that police dogs are attending widespread public disorder incidents in the UK, wearing no PPE (personal protective equipment), for example stab vests or protective boots to prevent injuries from glass and other debris. Police officers wouldn't attend such incidents without PPE, so why do we allow police dogs. We're calling on the UK government to urgently review PPE for police dogs nationally, and are requesting that Police Chiefs' consider carefully if it's appropriate to deploy police dogs at this current time, without the necessary protection issued to them. Police dogs are not "tools" they are sentient beings, and we have a duty to ensure their safety and wellbeing if we're asking them to serve their country. 🇬🇧🐶💙

After a person caused damage and made a run for it, Kai put his nose to the ground to help find them.

After a lot of sniffing, Kai spotted the person that he was looking for and directed his handler to them – however, the person didn’t listen to Kai’s warning and tried to run off again, but this time Kai was hot on their heels and well, let’s just say he won the race🚨
