Spring is a very popular time for house moves. 🏠
Here are some tips from Medivet to help keep your pet calm on moving day.
“There’s going to be a lot happening on moving day. It’s a good idea to shut your pet securely in a room while the move happens. Ideally, you can pack this room up ahead of moving day and give your pet the chance to get used to it. Make sure that they have food, water, a bed and some familiar toys. Pop a sign on the door to ensure that it doesn’t get opened accidentally.
At the other end, try and find a quiet room to secure your pet again until things are calmer. Again, they should have food, water, a bed and ideally something with your scent on that they can use as a comforter in their new surroundings. Remember to keep checking on them, so they know they haven’t been abandoned and give them plenty of reassurance.”

MEET AND GREET

Ellie and Pip are Romanian rescues.
They are sisters.

They are very scared. They were barking and afraid to come close.
They are settling into this new home. Lots of new things.

I will let them come to me on their terms.

I will build trust and a bond gradually.
They will be seeing a behaviourist soon.

NEW FURRY FRIEND 🐶

2 visits to Robbie for the first time today.

I went yesterday to see him on a walk with the owner.

He was excited and kept jumping up. It’s all new to him.
Was firm and he calmed down after a while.

Took Robbie, for a short walk at lunchtime.
Later on a longer walk, lots of smells and grass and leaves to eat. 🫣

He is very strong but he needs training and consistently, so this should get better in time.

He was fast asleep in his crate, after his second walk.

Dogs see the world through their nose, be patient and let them sniff, unless it’s something they want to eat!! Keep an eye.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025!🎉 With 2024 coming to an end… I want to say a BIG Thank You for supporting my small business this last year. I have had my business for 3 years now. It’s been a busy year, especially this summer, busiest I have been. I have worked through Christmas with lots of pet visits. I have a quieter January, which I’m looking forward to relaxing. Ready for 2025 pet visits and petsits. It has been a sad year, losing Minnie and my teddy bear Chewy 🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺 Bob and Dylan have moved away. 🐢🐢 Poppy recently passed away 😢🐩 Thank you again, here’s to a Happy and Healthy 2025!
