Job Title: Dog Walker
Location: Oxfordshire
Job Type: Maternity Cover from April 2025-December 2025 either two part time positions or one full time with potential of staying on after maternity cover.
Pay: £12,000-£25,000 per annum

About Us: At Puurfect Paws , we are passionate about providing the best care and we are dedicated to ensuring that every dog receives the exercise, socialization, and love they deserve. We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic dog walker to join our team.

Job Description: As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for walking dogs in a safe and enjoyable manner. You will ensure that each dog receives the exercise they need while providing companionship and attention.

Responsibilities:
• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Walk both solo and small group walks of 2-3 dogs per walk.
• Provide basic training commands during walks.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude with dogs and their owners.
• Ensure that dogs are looked after appropriately at all times.
• Clean up after dogs and dispose of waste properly.
• Communicate regularly with dog owners about their pets’ behavior and needs.

Qualifications:
• Passion for animals and experience with dogs.
• Ability to handle dogs of different sizes and temperaments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Driving is a big part of the job as we specialise in solo walks, so driving from to client to client is essential.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.

Here is Willow, showcasing the start of his recall learning. For past two weeks me and Willow have been building a bond and trust ❤️ In two weeks we’ve come a long way, while enjoying our walks, enjoying all the smells in a new location, we also did some basic recall training methods. *please note we do not hold training qualifications*

Here is Meeks showcasing a very great example of impeccable recall… ❤️ PuurfectPaws protocol when on walks with dogs who walk off lead is to ensure the safety of everyone and every dog 🐶 ,cat 🐱 or livestock 🐮 🐑 This means continuing good recall practice, keeping vigilant regarding our surroundings, if we see a person 🧍‍♀️ or animal 🐶 we call our doggies back to us, place on the lead, this gives us time to suss out the situation on whether the other person is ok with dogs, or if their doggy is friendly and is ok with playing.. This also ensures safety of livestock and children who cannot protect themselves. If all is ok, we let them straight back off the lead to enjoy the human/dog interaction and continuing having fun off the lead. Meeks use to be on-lead dog only, with regular walking and building of trust she was off lead within the first month and showcases the best recall. ❤️🐾 Well done Meeks!

Remember keeping hydrated is important on all walks, no matter the weather, no matter the breed, we always carry bottles of water, water dispensers like seen in the video and pop out water bowls to ensure your perfect pooch has access to the water at all times.
