I’ve loved spending the past few months getting to know these fascinating little creatures more, and can’t wait to continue filming them over 2025 🦔

Doubly blown away today 💨💨🌬️🌬️we have had such a windy day . We are very high up here been a bit worrying with the outside animals 🐑🐓. Although all my 🦔🦔🦔🦔🦔🐾🐾🦔🦔🦔are tucked away safe 😁I have found out today I have been granted £5000 from prospects to build a recovery shed 😁😁😁😁 This will be a massive asset to the rescue as they will have a quiet area to grow strong in an area out of the main clinic where there’s a lot of activity where there could be noisy nebulisers etc. but how amazing is this. Thank you ( had me in tears ) 🦔🦔🦔can’t wait to start working on it in spring 😁😁

We get so many cases , schools and sports clubs , gardens please lift nets at night 😞😞

Just a quick reminder that any sports netting should be packed away when not in use or lifted up off the ground.

Hedgehogs don’t have good eyesight and when they do get tangled up in netting their instincts are to curl up often resulting in getting even more tangled.

Keeper arrived yesterday in a tangle but was successfully freed and given pain meds and anti inflammatories and assessing and monitoring him moving.

Despite it being winter we still have lots of hedgehogs in our care so if you’d like to help support the work we do there are lots of ways you can help, whether that’s setting up a monthly standing order or dropping donations of wet cat/dog food or cat biscuits. Not all hedgehogs hibernate so please do keep putting food and water out.
Even ones that do hibernate can have periods of arousal where they will have a quick drink and bite to eat so it is incredibly important to carry on supporting them.

Just spent a wonderful afternoon with Donna Louise Glover from willow top hedgehog rescue and Alison Horsfall from Darwen hedgehog rescue having fun chatting about hedgehogs and Donna made us a wonderful lunch

Little Jack(amputee) gone to be wintered ( hibernate) naturally in a weather protected outside hutch with food and water just incase he wakes ❤️❤️I’m so pleased with his progress just the perfect patient 🐾🐾🦔🦔🦔sleep safely not so little Jack now 918g

Cable ties a girls best friend, never thought I would say that 😂😂spent 1/2 the day repairing fox proof runs after heavy snow brought it down . It’s freezing out there we may get -9 tonight so heat pads in the chicken coop to keep my girls warm and extra straw for Diana, Florence and Mary 🐑🐑🐑 . Got to say the views are stunning ❤️
