We had the first ever ALLPAWS puppy party on Sunday, a great time was had by all! A little snippit of what our puppies got up too whilst making new friends!

In addition to our usual puppy training classes we are offering 2 dates over the summer for young puppies to come and join in some fun in our supervised puppy parties!

A great way to meet our trainers / try a session with no commitment and have some fun 🌟

These sessions are designed to work on socialisation skills and building your dogs confidence to help them deal with real life situations as they grow and develop 🤩

❎ This is NOT an off lead free for all play session. It's an informative and guided confidence boosting session for your puppy with multiple stations to work around in your own time.

Apologies ive been absent for awhile but i had to say the hardest goodbye to my 14.5yr old collie Luna 💔 a few months back and found it hard to post.
I have been blessed with another gorgeous girl Nova who has been working hard behind the scenes mending my broken heart and puppy training!
A snippit of todays beach walk with some fabulous offlead attention/check-ins and recalls!
We even had a super speedy one away from a pigeon 😮😍

It does seem to beggar belief that people are opposing the proposed legal stance of a ban on shock collars.

Because:

Shock collars cause pain.
They induce fear in dogs.
Fear can lead to aggression.
They don't teach dogs what to do.
Positive reinforcement is more effective.
Shock collars can damage trust.
Many professionals advise against them.
Dogs deserve humane treatment.
It's a punitive, not educational, method.
There are better, kinder alternatives.

And

Some trainers advocate for shock collars, citing quick results and control over aggressive behaviours. However, faster isn't necessarily better or more sustainable. Shock merely suppresses behaviour, rather than addressing the root cause or offering a true solution. This suppression can lead to further issues, such as increased aggression, anxiety, depression, reactivity, and stress in the dog. Positive methods can manage aggression and facilitate off-leash training without the use of shocks. A trainer's reliance on such devices often reveals a lack of depth in their training skills and understanding. Ultimately, the use of shock collars remains unjustified and can be detrimental to the dog's overall well-being.

Why do smaller dogs sometimes develop louder voices?

Because they get a pretty hard time. Picking up a dog you’ve just met in order to say hello can feel invasive and scary to them.

Living in a world where you can suddenly be lifted into the sky must be overwhelming. So even when it comes to our own dogs, providing more choice and options where we can, makes a huge difference.
