Hangover, day off horses and a speed march to the top of with .nic who had absolutely zero sympathy. 12.6kms up hill and down dale and we burned 820 calories 🤷🏼‍♀️ there is no justice!

Following a number of requests asking when we are holding another trail hunting clinic, with the agreement of the masters, we have jigged the meet card around and are pleased to say we will have a trail hunting clinic on Saturday 30th November at Pikehall Kennels.

The morning will start by learning what to do and what not to do on the hunt field. Followed by practicing controlled cantering in groups, wall jumping from very small novice and nervous to more ambitious, with lots of help available!

This is a fun day which combines a ridden session riding in groups and over natural hunt jumps, discussions about hunting etiquette, hunting preparation for the horse and rider and the opportunity to ask questions you may have.

You don’t need to be able to jump big - this is all about building confidence and having fun!🤩

We welcome all riders no matter what your discipline is, this day is tailored to ALL.

Afterwards everyone is invited to join us for a tour of the kennels and meet the hounds and ask any questions you have on any aspect of trail hunting and the HPH, followed by Hot Soup lunch and refreshments.

Whether you’ve never been trail hunting and would love to try it, are worried about what to expect or you simply want to brush up on your technique, then this Trail Hunting clinic is exactly what you need!

Taught by Huntsman Andrew German who is now his 21st Season hunting hounds. You really will be in the best of hands.
