A little shoutout to Stanley! 🐾

When Stanley first came to me, I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d be able to groom him. I managed to get through his first groom with the help of a muzzle, but it wasn’t easy.

Fast forward 6 grooms, and today I can proudly say we’ve got him looking his best yet (though he’s always adorable in my eyes)! 🐢✨

As groomers, we sometimes encounter dogs who’ve had a rough experience with previous groomers, and it can take time to rebuild that trust. But with the right approach, patience, and support from their owners (plus a consistent grooming schedule), progress is always possible.

Every dog is different, and it’s all about learning their boundaries, tolerances, and where we need to focus. Stanley’s journey is a perfect example of how, with time and effort, we can turn a challenging experience into a positive one. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do so much. ❀️

She’s understandably cautious now, especially when it comes to having her nails done. πŸ’…πŸΌ I was able to get a few done with the help of some yogurt as a distraction, but once she realised what was happening, she wasn’t too keen. Thankfully, with her mum’s help, we were able to finish the job.
