👀Could you offer a special home 🏡 to one of our single neutered boars? 👀

Patrick and Timothy are very handsome single boys looking for a spacious home with female friends 🧡. Both are approximately 8 months old.

Patrick is the very handsome tricoloured piggy who has bags of personality. He is currently 1.1kg, loves his food, is very vocal and loves going outdoors to explore - and eat!

Timothy is the beautiful white and orange chap - he is very friendly and loves to climb up for a snuggle!

Both Timothy and Patrick are happy and healthy but do have post-castration lumps and are therefore being rehomed with a health disclaimer. The lumps are stable and no longer require any veterinary treatment however new homes should be aware of this.

We would love to hear from you if you think you can offer a home to Patrick or Timothy, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.

We try not to ask very often and generally we are able to manage the rescue through behind-the-scenes fundraising to bridge the gap between the actual cost of preparing animals for rehoming and the adoption fees which we ultimately receive for them. However... with the arrival of so many guinea pigs as part of a big emergency rescue we are in need of some help with food and enrichment for them as well as with fundraising for what will be a large vet bill for the castration of some of the boys. If anyone can help at all we would be so grateful.

The boys are back in town!

Please meet Patrick - a young male guinea pig who will shortly be available for adoption through Berkshire Animal Rescue.

Patrick was one of 17 male guinea pigs handed in recently. He is in good health, is very very handsome and is a larger sized piggy. Patrick is quite shy but loves going out in the run to explore and eat grass!

Patrick will be neutered and ideally bonded to a herd of sows.

This poor chap Prince Meekat, has been in rescue for nearly a year now. With limited asks.

He is a 2 year old mixbreed, fully vaccinated, castrated and looking for love.

Meerkat is looking for a home with a large setup. Due to his past he can get defensive when in a small space. Since having a large space at rescue this behaviour has settled alot.

We as a rescue can advise on bonding but would recommend a professional bonding service due to his small space defensive issues. We have bonding services we are happy to give details of.

Could you foster for Berkshire Animal Rescue ?

Gorgeous aren't they? Well they all have one thing in common - they have been fostered by or are currently in foster with the BAR team.

Like every rescue in the country we are struggling for space and so we are looking for some more long- and short-term foster carers to help us to help some of the animals most in need.

We ask our foster carers:
🐰 to provide a suitable indoor or outdoor setup (help and advice provided)
🐰 to be able to supply food and hay for your fosters
🐰 to be able to attend vet appointments and facilitate viewings

As a foster carer you will join our dedicated foster carer group giving you access to help, advice and support. All vet bills will be covered by the rescue.

Exactly 1 year ago today I started fostering for Berkshire Animal Rescue. In 12 months I have fostered and rehomed 14 animals- 9 guinea pigs and 5 rabbits 🥰

My foster bunny Pinnochio is off to his new home tomorrow ❤️ When he arrived he was absolutely terrified, poo like cow pats. Fast forward 10 weeks and he's a totally different bunny who loves going out in the run to play and loves cuddles, tucking his head under my chin ❤️ I am sad to see him go but so happy he has a lovely new home to go to with a new wife 😍
