Most people hopefully know this by now but if you cat isn’t chipped then give us a call and book a nurse appointment. Apart from being the law, it’s just a really good idea.

If you aren’t sure if your details are up to date then we can check for you, no charge, and give you the info you need to be able to update them.

Owners who do not microchip cats face £500 fines

New legislation comes into force on Monday 10 June.

We have this evening had an, unfortunately deceased, uncastrated male tabby cat of approximately a year or so old brought in to us after being involved in a car accident on Lower Farnham Road near Tice’s Meadow.

He does not have a microchip and we are trying to locate his owners.

Please contact us if you have any information.

Please don’t buy rabbits as Easter gifts…

❌ Rabbits are not good pets for children & are most definitely not a good Easter gift ❌

Rabbits might look like a cuddly toy & therefore be attractive to children who see a cute, fluffy bunny and decide they want one. However the reality is that Rabbits are rarely cuddly and children often lose interest quickly.

When purchased as a gift for a child, rabbits are often left alone in a hutch at the end of the garden or even abandoned. This is why it’s important to educate yourself on their needs before committing.

Did you know that in a hundred days it will be a legal requirement that your cat is microchipped? 🐱

It's also a really, really good idea given that cats like to wander...

If your cat isn't chipped, our nurses are available for appointments and the cost of implanting the chip also gets your cat registered on the database.

There has been a suspected case of Alabama Rot locally. There is no preventative treatment but please ALWAYS wash your dog down after a muddy walk, keep a close look out for any unexplained injuries or wounds (especially on legs) and contact us if your dog unexpectedly drinks more.
