Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
We wish all of our Members, and former members, a very Peaceful & Merry Christmas and a Healthy & Happy new year in 2024.
**Wyke Pond Open with immediate effect**. Following fishery works Wyke Pond is now re-open. We appreciate your patience while the work was being undertaken. Unfortunately the weather did delay the work but weâre sure youâll appreciate the efforts of the team. The work has provided much better access to all swims and has been undertaken to facilitate the fishery for decades to come.
Happy Christmas to One and All from Farnham AS
Some good news - Parking in Frensham Great Pond car park â without incurring parking charges.
The Frensham Rangers have agreed that FAS members may park in an area of the main car park, as shown on the attached plan, and will not be charged for doing so: unlike the rest of the car park where the general public have to pay.
If using the car park, please ensure that you allow a direct route to the skip for skip vehicles in case it is exchanged for a new one whilst you are parked, as the skip lorry will need to reverse up to it.
Please remember that the car park is always locked overnight. It opens at 7.00am and closes at 9.00pm.
If you are locked in, you will be in there overnight, so be sure to give yourself good time to get packed up, back to the car and leave the car park if not night fishing.
There is also a short video for those who prefer to see what where they will be going. I donât think Tarantino will be quaking in his boots, but it does what is says !

'Every Dog has their Day'
The Tenchfishers Fish In at Mill Lane from 18th - 20th May 2018 bought about a few surprises on this tough water which holds specimen Tench, as well as the Carp for which it may be better known.
This quick video clip sets the scene for the write up of the event, now on the Articles page on the Farnham AS website.
Posted now so that aspirining Tench anglers can give it a go this season whilst the weed levels are uncharacteristically low, so take your opportunity whilst conditions are easier, but allowing for the fact that the fishing can be anything but !

What I hope was the inaugural Tench Teach In with the Tenchfishers at Summer Pit
Many thanks to Kenny Parsons for his great organisation, Tony King for demonstrating his magnetic skills for larger specimens within a fishery, Steve Frapwell for his great tuition, Barry Cushing for his original idea of a link with Farnham Angling Society and Chris Netto for supporting at the weekend and certainly being outstanding ambassadors for the Tenchfishers.
A great event, enjoyed by all that attended. I am sure that with your continuing support it will be repeated next season and hope we can build it into an ever improving event.
Jamie Smith of Cypry Productions was excellent as always and is busy working on a short promo film to cover the event and promote it for the future for both FAS & TF.
Let's hope it's the start of a great relationship that will build year on year. Thanks again to everyone involved including the 10 FAS Members that took part whom I know enjoyed it immensely and learnt a great deal.
