Outdoor arena looking 👌even after all the rain Monday and Tuesday. Usual morning harrow to have it ready for the day ahead.

We are monitoring the indoor school daily but it’s still not good enough for riding on 😢

⚠️ Flood ⚠️

Due to the volume of rain last night the indoor school is out of action. We can not take the risk of injuries to horses or riders.

Where possible we will be taking sessions outdoors.

However, all is not lost we will be offering unmounted stable management sessions This is a great chance to improve your care knowledge. After all, riding is not the only way to enjoy horses. 😊

We hope you all are able to support the centre over the coming few days.

We are running another block of weekly sessions covering all aspects of the riding school assistant award. Saturday afternoon at 4pm for 6 weeks starting on 5th October. £150

The awards are designed to help our volunteers learn and demonstrate all of the practical skills required to work on the yard safely.

In the award, all participants cover
✅ health and safety
✅ accident & fire safety procedures
✅ handling & leading horses
✅ grooming in preparation for ridden work
✅ tacking up and un tacking
✅ assisting coaches and riders during lessons
✅ client experience

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday for our Pizza, quiz and cocktail party! We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. Thanks again to Kate and Andy @papaleeks for the delicious pizzas.

Huge well done to members Lizzie, Lauren, Lily and Esme who absolutely smashed it today at the Pony Club area quiz!! The team were 4th over all and the highest places centre in area 7. They have secured their place at the final in April

🎄Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Bourne Vale Stables. Also a huge thank you to the fantastic ladies who kindly volunteered this morning to help do morning yard duties.

Congratulations to Lauren, Grace, Laura and Abi on passing the BHS Stage 2 last week!!

Tom and Blue had a ride out to Sutton Park this morning. They both travelled like seasons pros and had a lovely relaxing walk with an ice cream at the end!!

Good old dad sorting out the sycamore seedlings in the paddock this morning. When horses eat sycamore seeds or seedlings it can cause atypical myopathy. Although the horses have been quite careful whilst grazing and eating around them it’s just not worth the risk of poisoning.
