Monday certainly monday’ed yesterday… after spending a pretty penny on my car for its MOT less than 2 weeks ago! My car decided it didn’t fancy driving me around 🙄

I wanted to thank everyone who helped me out yesterdays and to those who offered. My stupid car is currently in the garage and I’m hoping all will be sorted by the end of today but there is the potential I might have to wait an extra day.
Today has been a write off and tomorrow might have to be, I’ll message everyone who might be impacted as to whether we reschedule for another day or leave it till next week- hoping a fresh new week will be much better!

To everyone who helped and messaged you were 1000% appreciated, I can’t thank you all enough!

On the up side the ponies at home are getting extra attention of pets, cuddles and pony rides to keep me happy 😊

Well we survived yesterday and I am so glad to be on a pony again 🥰 Rio and Legs

Having done British novices and discoveries for the last 2 years we finally stepped up to 1m 05 a few weeks back which he went DC in his first one jumping round absolutely amazingly.

Then spooktacular I found a tricky situation as it was either doing BN and a discovery or stepping up to newcomers. After doing British novices for so long me and Loki are SICK of doing them. So I made the brave decision to just give the newcomers ago! It was a mildly crazy decision to say Loki hadn’t jumped indoors for 2 years and it was only a couple of weeks before he had just done his first 1m 05 and then I’m bumping it up again. I know height isn’t an issue as we had done some big jumps but they were a single fence it’s a different story doing a course. Whilst it felt like a disaster I was very happy and glad that we completed the course without any issues just lack of experience.

Sunday we have the equiline star qualifier ago he jumped mega but I made a couple of mistake and the sweet honest horse Loki is, he dug deep and got me out of trouble (that I accidentally created). I was a bit gutted with myself as I let him down but I couldn’t fault him. Then we gave another newcomers ago and other than potentially a couple of rookie errors/tired poles we both got around amazingly and I was proud of us both!

I’ve said it 100 times but he is a decent sized horse to which I’m hoping he will start filling out into that big frame of his. So I’ve planned lots of training over winter building muscle and some arena hires to do some course practice over those bigger fences. With the hope that next year whilst it might still not quite be 100% from the start we will quickly get in the roll with it.

A few people have asked me on Instagram about my competition jacket which is from Horsewear and I also love it paired with my le mieux saddle pad 🥰

Arena Uk Spooktacular 2025! 🧡

Second photo is Loki as a 4 yr old doing Spooktacular 2023 first time he jumped BS indoors… since then I hadn’t jumped indoors since until the other day 😅

BUT we managed to obtain my final discovery double clear for next year 😃 jumping round foot perfect! I wasn’t sure what to expect whether he’d go a little green or looky since it’s been a while jumping indoors and all the Halloween stuff but he took it all in his stride like a trooper 🥹🧡

Then we attempted our first Newcomers! We have jumped some big jumps recently so height wasn’t an issue but we hadn’t done much round a course. It wasn’t the best as we got a couple of poles down and it was tough course but we got round giving me some amazing photos to pick from and still making them look tiny 🫠

Can’t get much better than this! 🥰 Mr Stanley and Legs on the beach! Stanley only having one eye wasn’t sure about cantering along with a little blue dog next to him 😂 but as always he was good as gold and Legs very much enjoyed her beach trip with Aunty Rachel and her doggies.

Dinky Dolly was with me 7 weeks originally for some schooling to get her going and fitter as she was on the rather large side 🫣 and then to find a little loan home.

But circumstances change and she ended up having to find a new home. A good team effort between the owner and myself meant lovely Dolly landed the most perfect home ever! She left us on Friday and I’m really missing her little face and those little legs moving so quickly when trotting 😂

Storm Amy, who?

It didn’t put off best boy Bruce, who did some amazing work in the strong winds!💨 despite being young he is the best behaved boy, working hard on trying to find his balance and learning lots 🥹

The closest thing to perfection is Baby Otis, especially when he is jumping 🥹
